What about tranexamic acid? Is it available over the counter? Tranexamic acid is used against heavy bleeding. If not available over the counter, then it should be available via a prescription.
Hello, thanks for your comment. Tranexamic acid is usually prescribed for heavy bleeding situations, and could help with fibroids. It's important to consult with a doctor before using it.
I was on depo, than my fibroid end up growing big in size about 10 cm diameter, not sure if depo had role. But continued on depo to prevent excessive bleeding. Finnaly after myomectomy i am off depo. My breast was tender now i know why, had a really bad migraine for couple days thought could be ac ,but maybe not.Gained a pound , bloating is same before and after. Period slightly heavy, but they stopped after 6 days, which was a relief after dealing with fibroid. But now i understands some of my symptoms could be estrogen overload. I had been off the depo before few years back ,i think resulting estrogen hike could have cause my fibroid to overgrown, not sure always wonder what could have caused it. But Thankyou Dr.Silvia video was very helpful. Can make video about perimenopausal belly bloating.

Hi, Ryeqo has been found useful in treating fibroid symptoms for some women. It may also help shrink them to some extent as well. If your doctor has recommended it, they must feel this would be suitable for your symptoms. Please talk to them about what you should be expecting - control symptoms, shrink size, etc.
Yes menopause is associated with many other problems. For such conditions you can take Pitta Balance and shatavari and brahmi capsules by Planet Ayurveda.
I don't know if I prefer natural or alternative therapies. I'd try anything. I've had fibroids for over 15 years. I have 3 the size of grapefruits which might not seem big, but I've never weighed more than 7 stone. They're ruined my life. I can't have a relationship because physical relations are impossible without enough pain to make me pass out. I have to dose up on laxatives so I can go to the toilet past the fibroids, I'm in constant agony & when I come on a period it runs out of me like a tap and lasts for weeks. In the UK the NHS offers nothing apart from the laxatives for the past 10 years when it got too difficult to go to the loo. They keep reassuring me I'm not affected when in reality I'm affected more by these fibroids than I am by my autism, dyspraxia, Irlens sydrome & CPTSD all rolled into one. I'd quite happily let someone shoot me at this point. I have no joy left in my life, just constant pain & bitter loneliness as I'm trapped here out of sight suffering.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I appreciate that doctors are very busy; yet, our taxes/health insurance/national insurance pay towards our treatment costs. Sadly this lady is not alone. I’ve experienced similar so often over the years. I had endometriosis since age 12, yet could only get this diagnosed at age 18 (which is quite early, considering that most women with endo wait 7-10 years for a diagnosis). I was told so often that my symptoms were normal and at age 16 the doctor told me to get pregnant but not necessarily have the child. Then I would be eligible for a DNC which might help my symptoms. After the birth of my child at age 35 I begged my gynecologist for years for a hysterectomy. It was always denied. After the birth I started with rosacea and acne on my face which is only just now calming down. I kept having more unusual symptoms, but had had covid and thought that it was covid related. When my abdomen blew up literally overnight, I saw 3 doctors, who said that I was fine and this was due to anxiety/eating incorrectly. The 4th doctor actually did an ultrasound and saw a tumor measuring 15x15x11cm. Together with ascites, it was obviously ovarian cancer. After surgery, turned out that I had 3 huge tumors (high grade stage 3B). That was 16 months ago. Thankfully I’m stable now. Maybe I have cancer still, maybe not. My most recent CT was clear and my tumor markers are low/normal. Other health conditions precluded me from having chemo, so I had to go holistic. I feel sad that we have to say it, but because we are dealing increasingly with stories like yours and hers, it's important to do so, advocate for our health, and not settle for dismissive responses from any healthcare providers. Thank you for this. I'm in a situation where I have lots of fibroid trouble (they returned some years after a myomectomy 12 years ago). A GYN I loved prescribed Slynd (which was amazing) and also recommended NSAIDs. I was doing great in regard to pain, fullness and bleeding for a long time, but then I lost access to Slynd (and that GYN). After a recent vitreous bleed in my eye, an ophthalmologist told me to reduce or stop taking Ibuprofen. I wonder two things: Could you comment on whether reducing fibroid bleeding is different from effects NSAIDS may have on other bleeding in the body? Second, could you comment on whether OPill (over the counter Norgestrel birth control) might also be effective in reducing fibroid size and especially bleeding? I've started taking it and, so far, am having lots of bleeding, but I'm willing to power through that, if it's going to die down and leave me better off. I'm 54 and at my wits end. I would like to be an active swimmer again before I'm too old to enjoy it. Thanks again! :)

I've had a 10 centimeters fibroids. I tried so many natural ways to shrink it. After months of trying things, I was unsuccessful on shrinking it. At last in desperation I started a long term fast. I'm on day 18 of my fast now. And the fibroids have shrunk very much. I'm so encouraged with fasting. I intend to continue fasting until the fibroids are completely gone.

I think maybe you should educate yourself, there is diets that help shrink and there is proof. But you can’t make money off of it. That’s why this video was up.
Hi Dr, I had 5 miscarriages consecutively and none of my pregnancies reached 7 Weeks. Last miscarriage my Dr inserted Cytotec to expel the tissues, I bleed for 2 days and the bleeding subsided. After 4 days i started with severe pain like contractions and I pass 2 fibroids and they pain went away, the following day again pain started so so severe like contractions it lasted for about 3 hours and a very large fibroid came out. Could it be that my miscarriages were caused by fibroids or it’s just a coincidence?

I can’t say fibroids are responsible or involved, but their presence should be considered along with other factors when your doctors are trying to understand the reason for the frequent miscarriages. So please have a review with the doctor to discuss the impact of the fibroids or any other cause so you can get the right treatment. My girlfriend's last day of period was 20th June and We had unprotected sex on 22nd June night, and she took Unwanted 72( Emergency contraceptive pill )within 12 hours.
