Hello! My name is Darrell. I'm just a regular guy who likes editing and uploading videos to RU-vid! This channel is focused on Tesla and Rivian. I'll also have plenty of content on EV's in general. If you're interested, welcome!

I have a second question: Part 1 of question 2: in the pig version, what if the actual breaker flips? Then all the switches will stop even if it’s pigged right?! Part 2 of question 2: what would happen to the outlet directly connected to the breaker box in the daisy chain example if the outlet to the right became fried? Would the outlet to its left be inoperable also because it needs the 6 wires to work functionally and now only 3 of its wires are “doing anything”?
Part 1 - yes, if the breaker flips. But if the breaker flips, it doesn't matter which way you wire, nothing will work lol. The point is let's say you pigtail 5 GFCI's on a circuit and the first GFCI of the circuit pops for some reason (let's say too many hair dryers on that outlet), all the other GFCI's/outlets will still work. Now if you were to daisy chain on that circuit instead and we use the same example, that whole circuit is dead until you reset that first GFCI. See the difference? Part 2 - kinda related to my 2nd paragraph, only the outlets on the right would not be working, called downstream outlets. Any outlets left, or upstream is what it's called, would still be working.
@@nukem384 hey I have a question although it’s off topic but this video made me think: you know how apparently a bird won’t get electrocuted if both feet are touching the same line but will if one foot is touching line and other is touching the pole which is grounded? 1) What does grounding mean 2) What changed in the birds body to allow electricity to flow thru him in one situation but not the other?!! 3) How when we plug something into outlet, is the whole circuit from the power provider making a closed loop? Isn’t that crazy that the entire thing is like a 20 mile closed loop or whatever ?
@@MathCuriousity Now you're getting too technical for me lolol. That's for a electrician to answer haha. I don't want to give you wrong info on any of those questions.
That's all sorts of weird. That sounds like some sort of oopsie wiring issue with your particular unit. Talk to Ryobi. Maybe they can send you a replacement.
It's possible they changed how it's packed? There was a change earlier this year where the drawers don't pull out as far as on mine due to kids safety reasons.
Noticed you said you’re from the Bay Area. How’s insurance price compare from the Y to Rivian ? How’s the EV range, is it quite accurate compare to Y ? Thanks
Expensive for both lol. More for the Rivian obviously, but it's also a more expensive and bigger car. I don't remember exactly how much the Y was when we had it, but with how stupid the rising costs of insurance have become, I'm not sure you could even compare apples to apples. I think Tesla is well known to inflate their range by pretty much cheating on their EPA estimates. Annoys me so much all the time on our 3. That said, Rivian's is definitely way more accurate assuming you're not buying a max pack. The max pack is basically the same thing as Tesla, cause the range is supposed to be like 100 miles more, but the battery is only like 5 kWh bigger. Range can be even better since you can change drive modes if you have a quad. Pretty nice to switch to conserve mode on a long trip and maximize those miles.
14-50 all the way. How could you not have that emergency mobile connector with you, even when your only option is 120V, just to make it to the next Supercharger.
Just what I needed! Many times it’s just me or me and my fur baby who is small enough for me to place as I sit in the driver’s seat. I love this safety feature, but needed the tip on unlocking all the doors in case the husband tags along. 😂 Thank you so much for the video!
@@nukem384 ok thank you. I thought it should be fine for now. I also only charge for 30-60 minutes in a day mostly. Its the wall charger I had installed, not the 14-50.
@@mohammadkamran5862 Uhhhh ok you better set the wall connector as a 50a breaker then, not 60a just for extra safety. And don't charge over 40a or you're risking melting that wiring and starting a fire if you try and charge at 48a.
@@nukem384 When you have time, can you pretty please post a video about how to get the second row seats of the R1S to go back to “normal”? Specifically the seat with the arm rest attached to it (the one behind the driver seat)? I’m having to push with both hands and with all my strength to get the seat to slide back and to get the back of the seat to lean back. I don’t think you have a video of this but I could have missed it. Thank u!
@@MBZSLR Sorry no can do cause we have a toddler seat on that seat right now. However, yeah the 2nd row in this car is a bit tricky. One tip, depending which button you push, it'll make it harder or easier. I can't remember which is which, but pushing the button in the cargo area and the button right on top of the seat have different functions. So try both and see if you can get it to work better for you. You shouldn't have to push with all your might to slide the seat back into place. They are on rails after all. Then once it's clicked into place, use the recliner handle facing the outside of the car to recline. Good luck!
@@nukem384 Thank you so much!!! We put our toddler car seat on the other side of the second row. Haha! I’ll try your suggestions. Thank you so much for being so helpful. We had a Model Y that we traded in for the R1S and so far, I like the Model Y waaaaaaay more!!! I especially miss the fart sounds on demand! Hahahahaha!! Thank u again!
In service mode you can check the real HV battery capacity. The software will drain the battery and then charge it back up (assuming Tesla is plugged in). At least this is an option for 2018 M3.
This worked for my 05 Toyota Corolla! It passed I only did this drive cycle twice .. it could’ve passed the first time but I didn’t wanna take any chances… thank youuuu
@@sufi1360 If you want to do that, you're probably going to need a better scanner. However, keep in mind this drive cycle doesn't magically fix everything and make everything go away. If you have an issue with your car and a CEL is on, there's probably a reason. You may actually need to replace or part or get something fixed to get your car back to acceptable condition for a smog.
You actually should do that. You don't want to be plugging/unplugging it, especially if whoever installed your NEMA 14-50 put in a cheaper dryer outlet. More info about that in this video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I5hN91c3bb4.html

I want to go to college for accounting but I hear so many horror story's and how people are so depressed in the field, is that true? My goal is to make decent money and possibly work from home.
It's what you make of it and what your interests are. My job is fine and it's not crazy stressful. Those types of people probably hate their job and are depressed because of it. All I would say is don't do audit. Audit is highly stressful with long hours and I can't see that being fun. People go that route as a sacrifice to get experience, try to get their CPA and to enable themselves to go way up the chain later. Sounds like that's not what you're looking for. But accounting as a field is fine.
Hello, I enjoyed watching your video. I am a student, and as part of my project, I am organizing a seminar on Global Finance. Would you be interested in being a guest speaker?
It is vital to be sequential. Take out cartridge, put it beside where it came from, noting exactly where the little white 'stopper' is located. Then, take out the rubber piece, noting which way the tapered spring goes. (I bought a pair of "made for Delta" washers and springs and they failed). Do one handle at a time. Don't over tighten.
Thank you for the video! I wanted to upgrade my DiY NEMA 14-50 to Tesla wall connector, but wasn’t sure if the 6AWG was good enough, but it seems to be.
You don't have the size of the tools you using number one number two when you say just put adjustable wrench on this thing what is this thing I don't understand that 0:23
#1 if you watched the whole 2 min video, you'd have your answer. There's a big fat 12 on the socket you can clearly see. Also, if you're even asking for socket size, you probably shouldn't even be attempting this. Any DIYer should have at least a standard socket set, which will have all the sockets you need. #2 again, if you watched the whole video, you'd have a better look at "this thing", which I honestly don't know how to describe besides saying it's an oval-ish looking thing. When you turn the bolt, you'll see it also moving. You need to stop that with the crescent wrench in order to remove the bolt.
I have a question. I’m using a wireless hotspot box. Could I use my hotspot box to connect to this and get better speeds and change nat types? I have an Ethernet but my hotspot box doesn’t have a Ethernet slot. So could I use it wirelessly?
I had RU-vidv and I shared it with my a parents but I cancelled my youbetv and just have premium. They just started youtubetv do I make my dad the manager or should leave the group so he can start one.
