Much more perspective now that Bren is gone. So scary that it can happen to anyone but you all are out there living your lives to the fullest. RIP Bren and stay safe Nick and Dane.
I own three of the large Villains, and the best attributes were not discussed on the video. The multiple cuts and sidewall angles give incredible secondary stability and allow precise micro eddy catching, holds a line well, and makes for a super friendly ride. It is just amazing how this design handles drops and boils and makes you laugh where you previously were frightened. With the overall rocker and volume { including the bulbous bow and stern ) you can just laugh your way down horrendous complex drops.
I live here near the falls, and people screw around there all the time. There have been a lot of people jump in or kayak down the falls. I've never jumped or went down on a kayak but, I have walked underneath its been about 10 years ago. I don't recommend it bc it's slicker than shit. But it was pretty awesome at the time.
2:17 Must have been one of the scariest and most intimidating feelings you could possibly have boating to know you're about to run The Flume upside down... I literally almost jumped out of my chair when he flipped to the left at the top of the main drop, holy shit dude, really glad you're okay after that!
Thank you for making this video. I've been wanting to take my son Cai, CaiYaking since he was born. He is now 3 and I took him on a very short ride while we were on Bear Lake in Utah. He was so calm and chill, I was truly expecting him to freak out, but it was almost like an instinct for him to know to sit still (sit on kayak). We are in Northern Cali and I want to purchase a Duo or one we can both be on for now. For a 3 year old do you recommend the sit in or sit on kayak? I need one with capacity of 300lb so he can ride with me for a few years.
I live five miles from there ! I’ve only seen that water level there twice in my lifetime!!! You should have kept going downriver to star falls !!! The only level five rapid on the snake
