I know it’s been a while but I’m very confused as to why it says 0 obj for opcom instance, I have both AI commanders synced to each others Mil Obj placement. Everything else is working fine but I can’t seem to find anything on it. 😕
Does anyone know if you can use a plane as CAS (for example an A-10) or only helicopters and if it does work should i put the module at the start of the runway or at a taxiway so it can taxi to said runway?
Is there a way I could trigger the alive ai commanders to begin commanding. Like I first have to complete a custome mission and at the end of that mission the ai commander for Burford takes over?

Used this to create a Bit of a single player storyline following a Group of Mercs made up of Both Ctrg and Vipers lead By a Ex KGB Colonel, who Has a Corrupt NATO element try to take them out, and It resulted in a Awesome moment with The Mercs winning via using a Tac nuke, That was Delivered to the Enemy carrier via Boat... Those men didn't know what they were transporting
How do you set that AI only spawns inside the markers and not anywhere else? In my scenario, AI keeps spawning on the entire map even though I only added two small zones not far away from each other.
If you want to put in different Arty Units in Command Support Arty, the names to place in the module (like "O_T_MBT_02_arty_ghex_F" which is an Opfor Arty piece) can be found at community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3:_CfgVehicles_EAST (Opfor). On this same page, there is a link to the names for West (Blufor) vehicles. You need to have the right arty/vehicles for the side one is playing on. It was tricky to find where these designations were located.
Hey i have a issue on chernarus, but in reality in all the map i use. I always play as invader and i put like 4-5 area for each side under the control of the RHS faction, and it works great the first 30 min because the fight begin at the more close ennemy area from our area. But when the first area are taken they stop the massive attack and start fighint each other with small group or they simply start to stop the attck on the other area. For exmple on chernarus my team have their base at the airport on top of the map in the right and we control this airport, the big town on the coast under the base, gorka and a little village close to novy sobor, the ennemi have the big airfield on the center, stary sobor , the little town on the left of thire arifield and chernogorsk and zerlenogorsk. My team always attack stary sobor the little town and the airfield but the ai commander have never send them to cherno and zerlenogorsk. Why ? i have the same issue on other map they are always attacking some of the ennemies area but never all of them, sorry for my english im french
Ok got a question since I am new to this. Setup a mission just as you did, but want the blufor to defend a base. When I go in singleplayer to test, I get some message about no obj or something. Did I miss a step?
Nice set of tuts. I know you did them two years ago but I'm interested to know just how stable Alive is in your opinion - and have they added an end or win state to their framework yet - or does it still require a zeus user to manually trigger the end?
To the people having issues with sides spawning - The marker area has to have something considered a military build ie Baracks, walls , Watch tower etc. I think they have to be a map object

Hi thanks love the tips. I have a question. I like a single player arma life mission on the steam workshop. Although I would like to change the faction. He has it listed as Afghan army I would like to change it to NATO or USA . How would I go about changing that?

@@DrunkScout Haha. I know that feeling well. Around 2 years back I made a persistent campaign on Tanoa for my community (Tier1Ops) and it became seriously addictive. Players were logging on in the middle of the night to just manage supplies back at the base!
@@EdWallitt My buddy who I'm playing coop with started the server, and we're getting the script to run so I can copy his save file and run it myself so that I can do just that... fortify, resupply, and map plan lol. Freaking amazing sandbox milsim.
