My channel is about guitars, guitar reviews, guitar tones, guitar amplifiers, guitar pedals, guitar discussions and players that have influenced me over the years. I really like the guitar playing from the 70's and 80's and a big fan off all the songs from the 70's from soul to rock. I will do reviews and guitar tips that I have learned and hopefully and I can learn new things from the chats and interactions of others who come to my channel. I will play some cover songs that have influenced me. I think RU-vid is such a great vehicle to interact with other musicians and guitar fans all over the world.

Cool video! I think if done right, that will be a great guitar when it's done. I would paint it red, install the pickups and wiring that you want, and get the neck playing properly. The neck pocket angle is definitely off, and is going to need a shim. Personally I would skip on the floyd special, and put a Gotoh 1996 in, a way better tremolo...but I don't know how much you want to put into this guitar money wise. Good luck with it and have fun! I have this guitar! It has an Ebony fret board. Color is depp metallic purple. They are exceptional guitars! With the selector switch and coil split 6 different positions (The 6-pack of sound).
it all depends on what you are looking to do, there are the David Gilmour pick ups, the fender lace sensors, or you can put in Seymour duncan hot rails(small humbuckers)
I'm a huge fan of The Doors. Guess what guitar Robby Krieger played most of the time with The Doors. Edit: And another one came to my mind: Pete Townsend played an SG in the first years of The Who.
Have you ever tried a Stratocaster Ultra Luxe with Floyd? If so how does it compare to something like the EVH? I tried one recently but couldn't spend a lot of time and the neck of the Luxe felt much faster and was more comfortable but the sound of the EVH seems better.
Eric Clapton had his famous “Fool” SG during Cream’s run, and as of recently, Joel O’Keefe from Airbourne regularly plays one too; alongside his fleet of Explorers.
my usa custom shop and the mexican model both scalf jointed necks, I hope that helps, the mexican is great a guitar, plays as good if not better than the USA
I wish the trem was recessed instead of sitting up proud of the body. When I get one of these I am going to have it routed to get that low profile feel which is way more comfortable. Also then the neck pocket needs to be pitched slightly to a negative angle. I do this with all my guitars that have a proud trem profile.
@@TheGuitarFretZone I prefer to actually make a shim from timber like a full sized wedge. This way the neck and pocket connect completely rather than having an air space created by the shim closest to the neck. I can't tell until I get one of the guitars. That red sparkle finish though? I just ordered a used one complete with 6 pence on Reverb. “As New”. Been wanting to try one for years. I’m now 70 so times wasting. I’m very anxious to see how it feels and the weight. I don’t care for the telecasters so I’m apprehensive about the neck circumstance.
I just played the striped one and the oiled neck is awesome. Is there a big difference between the oiled and satin lacquer necks? The striped is $400 more and if that is the only difference then I would rather have the solid colors. I wish they had these newer one at GC so I could compare.
I have a a striped Frankie and I have a white & black striped evh and I play them both alot and I think the neck on the striped frankie is a little bit better thank the black & white or the solid relic, but the solid relic neck is very nice, but if you got the solid relic and played it alot, I think it will get smoother over time, because the black&white neck now feels better than when I first bought it from playing it so much(the natural oils from will change it), I hope this helps
@@TheGuitarFretZone I just got a red myself. I got a trade in from GC for fairly low money. I am getting a setup on it. Excited to get some playing time with one of these to see if it can replace my Strandberg.
@@TheGuitarFretZone the setup came out excellent and now the d-tuna works and it stays in tune a lot better. I mean if your really whacking the tremolo it will need to be tuned after a few minutes of crazy dive-bombs but if your using it like a normal person seems to be fine. Loving it much better than Strandberg so far, love the feedback and sound from this guitar.
the tremelo is very stable, its the same trememlo is an EVH floyd, it stays in tune is very solid, if you like the guitar, you can find them used for a very good price
nope, the bodies are pine for 2TS and WB. BLK and FRD are Nyotah/Nato. ->Fender/Squier 50s. PU Covers are Vintage White as sold in 50s and 60s Accessories Kits.

the plastic sleeve floyd arm works much better than the metal pin arm, in my experience. plastic one doesn't come loose at all and the steel bar always loosens up immediately after using the bar. i seek out the plastic bushing bars now
