W3EE Redux is the best thing ever happening to me in gaming. Turns W3 into a true challenge combat-wise and puts something approaching realism into Geralt's life. Although I gotta say some of the out-of-combat quality of life reductions are just plain unnecessary and annoying, like the ridiculous horse inventory and missing stashes (except armor/weapon). Many ingredients for crafting/alchemy add up to enormous weights and nobody, literally nobody, loves the mod for having to constantly go out farming for each specific craft. Luckily you can set roach inventory to sensible values. Also, Geralt must find wood, the most abundant resource in the world, to light a fire. Sure. Deactivated lol. Other than that, it's perfect. The Redux maker even added different stamina presets to fit different approaches.
I think the guy went to work for some gaming company, and used the mod as his portfolio Wouldn’t blame the guy, as I also did go work for a gaming company
To date these games remain my all time favourites. They captured a feel that was so immersive. Just loved exploring around watching ever step and the feeling of finding a decent weapon or mod for the first time was always great. Ahhh i need a pc again.
Thanks for this masterpiece video, now, w3eer much more than a mod) I see people like to talk bad about combat, but in the settings you can target enemies like in vanilla, and attack range modifiers will only be needed for different ideal parries, stamina can also be weakened
I wish the author could make some separate mods from the main file like the alchemy one and the glyphs rework, W3EE is a super invasive mod and installing it would completely ruin my modlist which I spent years perfecting.
call of pripyat didnt have everything that the devs originally intended. a-life was still very limited compared to what the devs were aiming for back in the stalker oblivion lost days.
If youre playing stalker for the first time arguably the only games you'd need á gun mod would be clear sky (although shadow of chernobyl is also up there you can still kinda make do with that one although i wouldnt fault you for using a gunplay mod in that game as well) but call of pripyat i feel like is a good shooter stand alone, you'd only use these mods on follow up playthroughs.
This mod is so good. I remember getting for the first time just for the item use animations so they wouldn't be gamey instantaneous things and thus upping strategy and difficulty, but I was not ready for the quality of everything else it offers. Some of the best gun porn out there.
As a guy who played Doom and Doom II day and night in the early 90´s I absolutely LOVE Brutal Doom! This mod is adding so much quality to the vanilla game without destroying the gameplay and overall atmosphere and feel - it just fits like a glove! As for a detail, the other day I cracked up with laughter when one of the pistol guys literally got EATEN by a pinkie demon when they fought each other. LOL
This mod helped me to understand that vanilla game is actually near perfect in it's simplicity. Games like Witcher 3 do not need these overcomplicated mechanics, they only detract from the game main most important part -- story and dialogues.
You prefer spamming dodge and queen hit and roll and hit The mod is not hard or complicated at all,it just requires you to have good timing with parry and dodge, and also when to go forward and attack You can't just go swing your sword knowing your safe because of queen and than roll If you try to do that you will be punished, you need to stay relaxed and wait for opportunity And every fight is dangerous if you go swing your sword without thinking The results? It's way more satisfying and more badass and it fits with the real world(oh you saved me from bandits wow, yeah that was a battle I know)
I LOVE this mod and what it does almost as much as i fucking hate the janky hitboxes and "s" with a burning passion though, but no mod can fix that i suppose.
Came here checking if EE would be a suitable alternative for Ghost Mode since the latter isn't available for NGU. Skill-based level up ala Elder Scrolls sounds great but the absolute necessity to use alchemy and carefully plan out every single enemy encounter sounds fucking exhausting.
Man this is the 4th time I am watching this video, thank you. It has explained to me even the Redux version of the game far FAAAAAR more than anything I have learnt via their official google docs and the like. There is SO MUCH depth to the game and so many mechanics it confuses the shit out of me. Also your editing is BEYOND God tier levels man. As an editor myself I know how much work it can take and literally EVERY 3 seconds you have some incredibly in depth editing done. Legend sir thanks for making this amazing video. Can't believe you only have like 5k subs.
