It always amaze me when people pointing a gun goes within reach of the victim it like here or in tv. That's the only weak point one has if you have a gun vs a unarmed

Once fought a black belt in taekwondo he struck, broke my Rib., He kicked dislocated my arm., Grappled and straddled my back unleashing punches on my neck. Fortunately I been workn as a trucker in place of forklifts had t unload trucks carrying 150 to 180klsmon my back. He hit me so hard on my neck he thought he had me then I rose up so fast caught him off guard and punched his jaw so bad he dropped and after lying down people stopped the fight(it was a "three o'clock high" thing and he was a bully) when he got up he was shaking involuntarily. He wnet home and wasn't able to go to school for three days unable to get up even. Best broken rib I ever had. Meanwhile I couldn't breathe properly for a month. He thought I'd stop after getting broken bones. Hell I worked for 2 dollars a day carrying stuff on my back. When you got paid two dollars on fourteen hour days a broken rib isn't as painfully as an empty stomach .

Good video. Ignore all the B.S. criticism. There are plenty of close quarters combat instructors in law enforcement, the military, and corrections that teach similar knife & gun disarms and the backgrounds of those instructors vary equally from a variety of combat arts/martial arts. I can give you one example right of the bat... the guy was the director of the close quarters combat program for 20 years for the North Carolina State Patrol. He teaches some similar knife defenses and has used them for real in fights while on duty which few if any critics have. The obvious answer is to run or avoid the situation but what happens when you can't avoid it and it comes down to the attacker either stabbing you or you defending yourself? There is nothing at all wrong with teaching some edged weapon defenses or handgun defenses as long as it is understood that is the last and only option and if you don't act then you will 100% for sure get stabbed/cut/shot. Not everyone wants you to succeed and they will try to poke holes in what you and try to make what they do look better. In my mind the entire idea of making a video like this is to market/advertise/show what your school is about and hopefully increase your student base. Even those who are from entirely different backgrounds and do do what we do can see what you do is good and that trying to poke holes and criticize what you are doing isn't going to help you achieve your goals. Keep doing what you are doing, I really liked your video and hopefully you got at least a few students from it.

Bravo! This is what I was taught early on - it’s a complete system to allow you to defend yourself if attacked while unarmed. You can’t just train one thing and leave the rest out, like taking every fight to the ground or trying to box it out without thinking of getting stabbed, jumped by a third attacker, or learning how to take a punch and pick yourself up to keep on fighting. Very refreshing to see this. Thank you!

The key to a practical realistic and successful response to a real attack is actually how realistically you are attacked in your practicing your defensive moves. The more realistic the attacks movement and speed the better you will be in the real situation. I think these guys did a very goof job of this
