Such a bad resort so crowded with little kids crying and screaming pouring liquids everywhere so dirty that I would suggest u skip Mauna Lani while in Hawaii 😅
What about Merimans ya?! Or San Sei in the queens shops in waikoloa?! I would say KPC but nahhh lol they arent what they use to be sadly. Speaking of broke da mouth, the brewery!!! I agree with you there! Very good!
My sister actually got married at the lava lava beach club in 2015! My fiance and I tried to do the same thing for next year but they unfortunately only offer a full restaurant lease out now :( great place tho lol
Great vid, but you gotta pronounce some of the things you mentioned correctly: Kailua is not pronounced like Kahlua the liquor. And poke is not pokeeh. Otherwise, nice video
I loved Moon and turtle in Hilo, absolutely unreal. Coming from the UK, I was so excited to see how the cuisine would be. Moon and Turtle is one of the best places I’ve eaten.
Sorry, the Mauna Lani Hotel before renovations was magical, and such a quiet, beautiful place. And a true bargain. That is all gone now with the destruction of much of the indoor and outdoor ponds and sea life that lived there. If you weren't there before 2019, you missed out on heaven.
Thanks for the great video. Really like your narration. I'll have to try Canoe House for a special dinner when I move back to Hawaii Island. Small advisement. It's pronounced Poh-Kay. Not Pokee. :) just so you know.
You should definitely go, it's a great place. I've been a couple of time over the years and would rate it pretty high. Also, Pokee was getting to me as well! :)
🌈🌴Aloha from Captain Cook really enjoyed your travel log. Next time.maybe try wear leis and put a flower 🌺 plumeria known as frangipane...every wear else in the young girl's hair. Aloha 🌈🌴
Hi there, your video is really great and your daughters are super cute. I’d like to ask you how about the beach over there? Is it good for swimming ( not big waves )?My daughters are already teens but still we rather calmer waters then big waves. We are planning our Hawaii trip and your help in that matter would be much appreciated :)
Hi there! Thank you so much!!! The beach on site the property is super calm. I want to say it’s a man made cove so the waves are small, however… the beach it self is pretty rocky. We prefer to make the short drive out to Hapuna Beach. Waves are calm and it’s considered a white sand beach. We can spend hours there! Hope that helps! Let me know if you need anything else. Have a wonderful trip! Mahalo!
Hale I'a The Fish House is actually in Kawaiihae and not Kamuela, and you certainly mispronounced Poke. I'm surprised Meridia didn't make your list, it's the best restaurant on the island.
When I lived on the big island, we used to go to the canoe House and stay at Mauna lani, that’s when Alan Wong was head chef… opaka’paka pasta with asparagus and Chinese black beans. That was 28 years ago….
Mauna Lani is where I honeymooned with my wife back in 2016 (prior to the renovations), but it was absolutely amazing...the food, the hospitality, the weather, the golfing, spa, the room (5th Floor oceanside looking out over the beach), and the memories!!! It's almost sad watching these videos because it makes us want to go back so darn much!!!
Hi there! You can definitely get away with an umbrella stroller. We didn’t use ours much, especially since we mainly stayed in the resort. Hope you and your family travel safe! Let me know if you have any other questions!
We’re definitely checking these places out on our next trip to “da big island”…We were just there three weeks ago and we’re talking about going back again in early Dec. as a gift to my wife and I for Christmas …We love the food,,,the people and the Hawaiian hospitality…
No one should miss the authentic Japanese Taiyaki (called O’z Kitchen, so new don’t have a google page yet) in Captain Cook. Same spot as Randy’s Huli chicken except Thursday and Friday. Their Taiyaki is the most delicious food I had during my three-week vacation on Big Island.
