I couldn't just use flats on my hardtail (2020 Norco torrent) successful hits do knock my feet off. I have opted to use Cranbro's DH with a more freeride/dh oriented clipless shoe instead of your traditional XC, with good vibram sole for the times you do need to push and walk the bike ;) I think its the best of both worlds as long as you are comfortable with clips. For my DJ-ing and BMXing, I opt for just enough traction - BMX pedals and Vans, you want to be able to ditch when necessary.
I am relating to you so much, seems like we like the same type of riding and same type of bike (I also own this frame and colour). I know your frame is probably sold but you should do some more hardtail content. Hope to see more videos from you. Good luck with everything in life ! Wish you health !
My man... this video helped me find the missing piece to my shot... I had an okay shot but the "snap the towel" explanation literally added a million mph to my shot!!! My muffins are now missiles... I had to come back and say THANK YOU for this video!!! SERIOUSLY... you are the man for this 💯
Thats super awesome to hear! Ya modern hockey is all about keeping the hands high and cracking that top hand! really appreciate the feedback and stoked it worked for you!
I just got the 23 model quite cheap on CRC,so your information makes alot of sense,I'm of a similar weight, but my terrain isn't quite as narly as yours over there in BC,but you gave me the bsics to start with.
I really enjoyed that and I learned a bit about my new fork too. Really clear, I liked the explanation of low speed compression, thanks man. Going for a ride now! :)
Nice channel. Maybe the On-one Hello Dave LTHT is something for you. Built for enduro + DH. long and slack but still playfull. I rode it in 275x2.8 F+R but for this year to full 29. Maybe for bikepark going for mullet.
Tech makes a good warmup because it gets your whole body working and warmed up. I don't have a ton of tech in my local riding area but I prefer to warm up this way as well.
Hey, great content ! Love it ! Do you run tubes or tubeless ? I`ve been afraid to give tubeless a go due to the risk of breaking my wheels, yeah i know about cush core but still. So, what is your configuration ?
I can relate I sold my fuse mtb and a my SL5 Edmonda road bike last year because I needed the money I regret it but now that I’m up again I can’t wait to ride again wether it’s road or mtb
Fantastic hard tail video! With coil forks making a come back, I was curious to get your opinion, specifically for a hardcore ht. I ride a Honzo ESD. Thanks!!
Sold my hardtail 2 years ago re watching these vids because you are the few that ride hard tails down hard trails. About to buy a mtb tomorrow because I did enjoy riding
Keep on slaying it Ben. Love your videos! I am just getting back into MTBing after starting as a kid back in 89, racing in '90, and after looking at the new Meta HT and Cromag lineup after some advice from a friend, I came across your channel. Thanks for making me a believer in the HT again! I was afraid I was going to have to go fully suspended, you have helped make me a believer in HT again!
@@BenYorkeMrHardtail thank you, hey I wanted to let you know your videos are super positive and provide a nice mood for me every time I watch them. I've got a 21 Meta HT in Sand myself and am looking forward to riding on it soon. Keep it positive and good luck 🤞! Life is amazing ! Edit: I'll post on my channel as well. As long as I get some trails !
