Hey Ben, I live in Squamish and just ordered a '21 Meta HT Essential... I'm 6'2" and am waffling hard between the L and XL and I heard you might have some insight being similarly sized albeit way more skilled?
So I'm also 6'2. I ride the large. As I find it to be super fun and playful. It has a shorter wheelbase and reach but I feel it is a perfect fit for me. That being said I tend to like my hardtails on the smaller side. The Xl is pretty long and tall. but the 2021 has a shorter seat tube now so that would help with the saddle being slammed. I honestly don't think you can go wrong. they will both be sick in slightly different ways. Hope this helps! Also feel free to check out my bike reviews as I have 3 different meta builds.
