I'm Tolu, a medical student just trying to work my way through the University of Oxford. The aim of this channel was to show people insight on what it is like studying here, document my experience and maybe even motivate you through my videos. I'm not posting new content anymore but I hope the videos that are up are still of good use!
I hope you'll have as much fun watching my journey into becoming Doctor Duckworth as I hope I do experiencing it.
You are a very beautiful woman. An Australian here prepping for the whole year for postgrad med entry, Oxford being one of those ideal picnic spots for education (humour). It's been a whole year since you've done a video, regardless, looking forward to updates. Great vids and best wishes regardless!
Your description of Keble is sooo encouraging to me 😭 I want to apply for biomedical sciences this year (23fall) at keble but I’ve never physically been to Oxford myself so I’m just very uncertain when choosing colleges. I picked Keble for its accommodation and the architecture but I’m still not too sure, but after watching this I feel like Keble is the one!
I got an offer this year, I’m not even fully in yet and still the imposter syndrome is getting me already lol. Thanks for your perspective - I never really saw getting an offer and being from a state school as an achievement, more as a disadvantage I was panicking over. You’ve definitely changed my perspective!
1)plan your day 2) make a timetable 3) eliminating distractions 4) exercise 5) palmadoro technique 6) take breaks if exhausted 7) change your study environment 8) play your favorite song 9)talk to someone have an accountability partner 10) visualize your goal when feeling lazy ❤❤
I thought it was great that you chose students from St. Hughs and Mansfield, instead of one of the Power Elite colleges such as Balliol, New, or University.
@@nanashi2146 sadly because I had to be in one of tolus videos. And tips? Uhhh if you got an offer then that’s 80% of the work done so we’ll done for that, just make sure you put in that work to make sure you make it. Other than that, logic sucks so maybe get a head start on it if you have free time, get a book called the logic manual. But mainly enjoy it, first year is kind of lax for philthe students so just look forward to it and good luck
@@hoggtied2796 Calm thanks for the advice, but I don't think I'm going to do any logic because I got an offer for the Theology course? Of course you're a student there right now, so I'm probably wrong. I have Wilfred Hodges' book 'Logic' though, so I'll give it a read anyway. Thanks again for the advice, you seemed like a really chill guy in the video 👍
