This is so good! I especially identify with the 6 black pants LOL I love sweaters, and I wear them 5 months out of the year. I don't enjoy winter so I usually keep them in storage. It's something fun to bring out when it gets cold. However this year I made a change after I got a new larger dresser. In the summer I brought out all of my sweaters, tried them on, decluttered and organized them. Then because I often buy duplicates of favorite colors, I took photos of my sweaters. I grouped them into lightweight for fall and Spring and heavy weight for winter. That way when I'm out shopping I can look and see what I have which actually isn't as many as I thought now that I decluttered. I think watching your style series earlier this year really helped me understand why I like what I like. I feel like I've spent a lifetime wearing things that aren't quite right and settling for less. Lately everything I've purchased is something I love and wear. I quit buying what's currently trending because it looks good on other people and I "should" try to look updated. I feel relaxed, happy and like myself in what I've been wearing this year. I feel so much more confident that often I even forget what I have on.

Wow! There are so many things you said and scenarios you mentioned that I can completely relate too. You would think that someone in their late 50’s would know better by now. Following your advice from several months ago, I have upgraded my wardrobe and, in that process, find the "7 second rule" incredibly valuable. Thank you for that. Now I focus on quality fabrics ONLY, that are my style ONLY, that have incredible fit ONLY. My mother was a stylist, so I have basic knowledge, I just ignored it most of my life (LOL).

My capsule wardrobe as a mom of a young girl child: Winter: -black leggings -jeans Summer: -shorts -skirts And then I add variety in the tops - something simple and comfortable and t-shirt like but with a feminine flair like some ruffles or flowers or a special neck or pattern - very easy to get dressed!
About versatility- I don’t worry about having items that can work for multiple seasons because I like to put away out-of-season items - then it feels like I have a whole new wardrobe every season change. (Just twice a year where I live). This keeps me from getting bored with my clothes and helps me live with a more minimal wardrobe. Otherwise great tips!

Thanks for your question Christine! Not every time. It depends on how long I wear an item. For some items, I recommend washing (or drycleaning) after 2-3 wears.
It's nice to hear the thoughts that come to me too. Most stylists around say that you need to buy oversized things, that this is the only way to look stylish. But I don’t like seeing folds on myself at all, I feel like I’m wearing sacks in big things and I’m torn between dressing in a way that’s not fashionable, but the way I like it, or vice versa.
Fabulous. People need to understand to be happy and enjoy the experience rather than on buying or shopping spree. Its economical and environment friendly and women can concentrate on fitness travel and spirituality which gives them freedom inner joy and peace. They would really look and be rich externally and internally. Love to all ❤️
