If Metal Gear Rising was made into an actual movie, you bet your sweet asses that the theater will scream "RULES OF NATURE" when the fight with Metal Gear Ray starts
0:16 Matthew 17:20 if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
i’ll always prefer mgs2 raiden but mgrr raiden is a treat. the balancing act between jack, the person vs. jack the ripper has always fascinated me as someone who loves complicated characters and how this game leans more into the ripper aspect of raiden is awesome. it also helps cement him as a foil to snake more than his introduction did, really. both acknowledge that they’re not heroes by any stretch of the imagination, but at least snake was never forced to live a life of constant combat since childhood. i know people just think of this game as the one with the cool cyborg fights and things but i view it more akin to a deep dive of raiden’s psyche. we get to see the monster he locked away in mgs2 here, up close and personal.
"Ladies and gentlemen I'd like to introduce you to the tutorial boss, were currently undergoing a "learning experience" the one you can only get with a "giant laser". This is maybe the best game ever made. Because although the gameplay may be a "little simple"the sheer scale makes me feel both empowered and quite intimidated. It's just a wonderful way to do it when you don't look like a cracked up rooster. Of course, there's no need to worry, because Raiden is fuckin jacked *Rules of nature.mp4* Mission accomplished" - Maxors an incorrect summary of MGR part 1
