I’ve always thought of it as him coming back to town with refreshed energy, just to be reminded of all the pain that happened. So you turn and run, putting you back between villages. Love your take though!
I first heard this song about a week after being released from the hospital after a suicide attempt. My best friend had to be the one to tell my mom and csll the police/ambulance. Hits home in a way I've never experienced before. Thanks again, Noah.
I think it's more of the novelity of everything wearing off and basically him getting jaded. Just losing the fun/excitement in life in everything, kind of life losing colour/lustre and becoming monotone
This song. I just saw him the 2nd time this weekend at Outside Lands. He sang this the first time I saw him and it was my introduction to the song. I was crying like a baby.
Not many people are reacting to Noah's earlier music ... really appreciate that you are taking the time to do it. Your reactions seem to be really since and insightful! keep it up!
Hi mate ,I'm happy that you are fine ,the song is so good, i have an advice , can you ask the fans to give you their favourite songs and then you edit by yourself and post it .if you don't know how to edit leaaaaaaarn
Thank you! Just to make sure I'm understanding correctly, I should ask people to recommend songs and then I react to them? My editing is usually a bit better, but my PC is back at college and I'm home atm
you should react to some of alec's demo songs that arent released, some of them are amazing i rellay like medicine man and journey to the lowest place on earth :)
@@jassakreacts9196 there are way more than this if , but some I would recommend you listen to are -journey to the lowest place on earth -medicine man (boy in the box) -gabriel -settle down -tie my laces -the original paper crown
I agree with your interpretation here. In fact, Noah said something about how Paul Revere and You’re Gonna Go Far are essentially the same song except that the first has him stuck in the place and unable to leave and the second is him being able to get away but the guilt that comes along with that.
This song is devastatingly beautiful. Hits home for me in situations I’ve been in as well. One of my favorite from the entire album because of how important and relevant his words are here.
1:20 "I am not scared of death, I've got dreams again" such a beautiful phrase and 2:20 "The death of my dog" hits hard when you recently lost your own dog. actually got tears in my eyes when I heard it. perfect song.
@@jassakreacts9196 the first time I listened to the stick season album it was on repeat and my husband came home to my unemotional arse scream singing and crying to “growing sideways” so… 🤣
This is a bit embarrassing...I have no idea how to do it in the app😭😂 I've always done RU-vid stuff on a computer and I don't have access to one atm. But I'll try to figure it out asap!!
