🙋♀️ I’m Maria, Engineering Manager (FAANG, ~7 years) and I’ve been coding since I was 13 years old. I love working in tech because building new things and being creative is something that makes me really happy. While on this journey, I realized how lots of tech mentorship questions I receive in 1:1s from Software Engineers get repeated a lot so I decided to upload short and simple Q&A videos on TikTok which grew to a small amount of followers. For some questions, I wanted to dive deeper with longer answers which is how this channel started. Thanks for being here - my goal is to help some people out and make their lives at tech jobs more effective.
I would rebrand this purely as Finance channel and reap the rewards. So easy to grow in the finance niche on RU-vid and the pay from ad revenue and sponsors is phenomenal in this niche.
Your salary as a software engineer is great and so is achieving 10k subscribers on youtube, but with that being said if your primary focus is having a job alongside living a balanced life, then goodluck ever being a fulltime youtuber. If you want to have a fulltime job AND at the same time be a youtuber then your going to have to work very very hard and theres no getting around that.
What's more realistic is trying to make your youtube channel a side hustle alongside keeping your job. It's very easy to grow a finance channel and sponsors pay well in this niche. It would produce a nice 2nd stream income. That's IF your willing to put in the work and IF you want that. Just look at Graham stephan. Goodluck.
I’m traveling abroad for 9 months so I’m looking for a card to use as my main source of spending money while I’m away. I was thinking about the chase sapphire card but I know I will not spend $4,000 within the first 3 months… ($4,000 is my budget for the first 5 months ) will this card still be worth it if I don’t get those 60,000 points?
I live in the netherlands and if you apply for an Amex card here, you can only earn 1 point per 1 euro. But in the US, you earn 3 points per 1 dollar.... why is that? and can i apply for the US card as a Dutch citizen?
Is this sponsored content? Bilt loyalty program is not worth it at all without the credit card. Rent points are capped at 250 points and they charge you $10 extra for using bank transfer to pay your rent. If you used some other credit card, you would probably be charged an even higher fee. It’s worth it if you get the credit card but if you are not approved, save your money and work on your credit score until you can get it.
This card has been extremely problematic. From simple registration to costumer service to a complete utter failure of communication via phone. Why do none of the reviewers discuss this. I can give you a full account of my experience & I’ve had the card less than 1 month
My take of this video is that even though Chase Sapphire gives you lots of points back on different programs: like Lyft, Instacart, Doordash, etc. If you don't use those services to begin with it's cheaper to not use the money at all. That way you save 100% of what you dont use vs getting 1-3% back in pts of cash you already used lol
You should consider changing your default checking account out of Chase since you are earning no interest by leaving money there. Even if it's just to pay your cards. The Fidelity checking account for example gives 2.67%. You can just pay your cards and other bills directly from that account and earn some money while doing it.
Is this video sponsored ? That’s fine if it is, but I can’t tell. I’m I’m trying to figure out what they get out of this and I’m guessing it’s just just being able to track all your purchases and sell that data to other companies.
As she says, Bilt acts as the middle man. It will sit between the landlord and the tenant and earn money. Tenants can now 'afford' to pay rent as they pay other things using credit cards, namely using minimum balance payments and Bilt will earn the Interest. This works because a significant fraction of people do not pay their statement balance in full. If you are among the minority who pay it in full then you get rewarded for your financial discipline. As for selling your information, no one can really tell which company is doing it and which company is not. Do we really trust any of them?

I did this for years and it does work. I traveled for free for basically as long as I wanted to. It is kind of a full time job keeping track of your cards and which one you should use and which ones you've already used. My problem now is I don't spend money anymore. I'm financially independent, have no debt, and very few bills. I wouldn't have 3,000 worth of expenses to put on a card now so this doesn't work for me. I think it's far easier to just pay for your plane ticket when you want to go somewhere than work this racket. But I'm old now and just want things simple.
I’m in my 20’s my parents didn’t teach me and my siblings much about credi, credit reward points, and etc. But if I’m understanding correctly we can buy a credit rewards card from somewhere let’s just say delta or something like that, the more we spend on the card the more reward points we gain? I’m just trying to make sure I understand. And if I don’t spend money like or travel often getting a rewards card could be pointless?
Up to the 9 min 14 sec marker this female said at least sign up for the loyalty program because you earn an extra 2 pts for doing NOTHING. are you sure about that? Didn't signing up for loyalty program is something? Who is and or are the Owner(s) of Bilt? Does One know what Being a Bily loyalty partner is subjecting Oneself to do and be?
