Ok s tip for better landing gear, cut off the top 3-5 loops off the spring, as is the spring compresses fully before hitting all the way down so this will make the suspension a bit softer and add some travel, it will also taxi better since it will bounce less, ive had 2 raptors so far and i did this mod eith both also thrust vectoring
This jet makes the reverse thrust super easy, it comes with a plug you put directly into its own channel as long as you have an available channel on your receiver. Make sure you have the correct switch set to where it’s plugged in, likely to the landing gear #5 and you’re all set.
@@henrypruett1889 Yeah that part suprised me, i figured it would take a spin or two to stop that rotation but it looks like it just instantly stopped which is nice
That plane is BadAss! Not sure if you were around but a fairly well known pilot by the name of Jason Somes flew here and flew for BVM. Now he flies a Mig-17 at airshows and a lear jet pilot by day lol!
I own one also first big EDF found it a very forgiving plane very neutral. I have painted mine up added a burner, heard some beat up on it to me I’d buy another to play and my painted one to fly scale. Loved the review even the fucker at the end
Awesome plane and flight, beautiful! Was the older guy named Ron? I used to race nitro RC cars there on the control line pads in the 90's, a couple guys I ran with were Mac and Ron and I wonder if they are still around? I haven't been to Apollo field in 25 years and miss it dearly for I grew up near there. Thanks, great video!
Absolutely that’s Ron! We call him t-bone and he’s been flying here quite literally every day since you last saw him. What’s your name? I’ll let him know you said hello!
@@TheValleyFlyersRC That's too cool I'm Mike and I only know him from racing the HPI Rs4 nitro cars with him and several others. Funny I have a video on my channel of the HPI That I ran there it has a Ford F150 Nascar/trans am style body. He might remember it he was always behind it lol! 🤣 Thanks man definitely tell him I said hi! 👍🏼
@@TheValleyFlyersRC Pretty sure we gave him the nick name T-bone lol. This is the car I ran. Maybe he remembers T-boning it... Lol! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Tz2TF_Xf2KE.htmlsi=U34p98esU0pbm1yX
@@mikesrcgaragethat’s awesome! I’m gonna show it to him. I used to have an rs4 back in the day, electric with the Subaru sti body. That was before the days LiPo took over if I remember correctly.
I didn't know Valley Flyers had their own RU-vid channel; that's pretty cool! As someone with some experience on RU-vid, here are a few tips to achieve "high-quality video production": Music: Ensure you use relevant songs without lyrics. Avoid using unlicensed music because RU-vid could strike your channel. Good places to get songs at reasonable prices would be Artlist or Storyblocks. Script: It's crucial to have at least some level of scripting in your videos. Start with an engaging hook to grab viewers' attention. For example, you could use intense music, a dramatic clip of a plane crash, an interview clip with someone saying, "I couldn't save it, and it wouldn't recover." Next, provide an introduction that sets the scene and explains what the video is about. Follow this with a buildup of events, leading to a climax, and then conclude with an ending. A tip: You can even use AI to generate the script, or even ChatGPT can assist with this. Types of Content: Diversify your content. For instance, include educational content and perhaps some satirical content like "Five RC Pilots You'll Meet."
Good tips, definitely agree. Have to keep in mind that the difference with this channel and many other rc airplane channels is many different people being featured who aren’t RU-vidrs as compared to one person who is a RU-vidr. We have to work with the flow of the pilot and their comfort level being on camera, which is cool because that alone diversifies the videos. Some have action shots, some (most) are full length flights, some do talking and intros while others prefer not to see or hear themselves on camera. With that being said in the early days of this channel as it grows I don’t mind using copyrighted music to make the videos more fun with hit tracks and RU-vid doesn’t mind it. Just can’t be monetized but not even worried about that because there’s no option for monetization right now anyway. Just want to provide something to the RC community we’re not seeing on the big popular channels. Thanks for tuning in!! (We’re just club members and the club hasn’t endorsed the page but our goal is to put this incredible rc airfield on the map!!)
@@tonyyimbo hell yeah I wanted to try a dope song instead of the typical “copyright free” songs but RU-vid doesn’t like it so we’ll see how the video does!
The final tip stall seemed tail heavy but was it that far out of trim because the nose kept dropping? I remember a really rich guy that would come out there and crash a plane Everytime he tried to fly and never learned how to cause he wanted to do it on his own 🤦♂️
