Hey, I am Pete Fortson 40 Year old BMX rider that loves all bikes. On this channel you will find rad BMX videos and Some mountain bike action. There is a sweet Skatepark series I am doing that will feature all the skateparks in my home state of West Virginia.
Along with riding bikes I spent about 17 years working in a local bike shop. For 10 of those years I was the head mechanic and gained many certifications from Shimano and other manufacturers. I plan to have a series of videos giving tech tips and services advice for all bikes.
Made that look easy lol. Im usually dead tired by the end of skyline. I agree about the speed, even more when its dry and rolling fast..got to use the brakes before every jump!
This depends on if it rotates and doesn’t loosen. If it does I would remove the air spring and see if I could stop it from turn on the top. If it’s just stuck. I would try to heat just the head of bolt and see if could move. If it breaks off you will most likely need to replace the air spring to repair it and a new bolt of course. Most small parts are available on SRSuntours website.
It was a live premiere. So the first time it played I was online chatting with the viewers. I am going to try and get back to weekly live streams of bike repairs soon. Getting the kids ready for school has slowed things down on the video end.
Your damper is probably blow if it’s not working. If you can turn the knob all the way each direction and get not change is rebound speed. I would recommend that buy a new damper off of SRSuntour website and stick it in there. They are sealed units that can’t be rebuilt.
Hi, I have scott ransom 2019 model and I have some play on my shock. Is there any bushing on lower mounting side of the shock or just on upper side? Thank you for sharing your video, nice job.
This is a great question. The bushing that are causing your issue are the ones between the shock mount bolts and the trunnion mounts on the shock. Scott does sell these, but you may need to buy a full kit to get them. As you local Scott dealer and they may have a set. I am about to replace the bushings on mine and it’s only a year old. I’ll make a video of that soon!
Just learning to ride would fix this though, idk of they were not trying or just talked into doing this. But I don't think they're too comfortable picking a line in something like this
