"Do NOT drink this for CHRIST sake!" 😂 Love the way you went from a kind of 'processing the flavour' to 'naah mate this is shite!' 🤣 I've tried this once....and i intend on that being the one and only time i've had the displeasure! Haa! Gross ain't it Mate? I honestly think, if i took the water from my bowl after washing my pots, it'd taste more agreeable than this slop. Haha!
Good review Paul. Never heard of this brewery before but will certainly give them a go. One brewery I can highly recommend is Tartarus. They are turning out some incredible beers at the moment.
When the Lager has no head, that’s always the first sign of trouble. Alot’a these mass produced Lagers taste like seltzer with pure alcohol, sugar and brown dye added. It’s hard to find a real “craft brewed” simple Lager. I guess frothy strong Ale’s are just faster and easier for small breweries, but I have seen some fancy Pilsner’s here and there.
I'm not a fan off the beer but I don't hate itm it's just simple nothing unique it's literally just plain beer kinda thing you'll find a box off at your granddad's when he has a family BBQ and he wanted to get drinks in for people. It ain't too bad if it's ice cold
I've literally just ordered the Phantom showcase off Brewser and did a search on here. Found a bloke with a red beard and shaved head looking like a younger, better looking version of myself. Subbed. Cheers fella!
Appreciate it buddy. Just subbed to you too. It’s a fact that us bearded, shaved headed beer reviewers are international sex symbols, so always nice to meet another. Cheers fella! 🍻
I think I'll try this one! Tesco sell it so I'll order some when I do my next home delivery. Another African lager that I found surprisingly good is Windhoek from Namibia. Its 4% but brewed according to the German Purity Law - a leftover from when Namibia was German colony I guess.
We’re in Reading so quite lucky with all the craft beer breweries (although I’m into larger atm 😂) On another note, Your reviews are great and you’re a good personality. Hope your channel keeps growing, feels a bit underrated!
Yeah Nisa is part of the Co-op Group now, but the shops are all independent franchises, though they have to buy through the Nisa/Co-op wholesale system. Anyway, I am a fan of African beer, especially Nigerian Guinness
Ive had it a couole times down my local. Ive found it ok, but in the context of having a couple of ice cold pints in the sun. But i agree, its cheap crap thats the product of a massive corporation
Hiya, following my previous lagerly comment, I have decided to go into training for October. And where better to start than your back catalogue. Was this post-Covid? Well this beer and your comments are still 100% spot on. as usual, quality review.
