Such beautiful magnificent animals. We should always look after these and other large animals, the Rhinoceros, the hippotomus, they have been here 60 million years...in 200 years human kind has almost wiped them out due to greed..

God bless the kind souls who rescue orphaned calves and raise them in a healthy natural environment. So many calves are orphaned due to poaching and wouldn't survive if it wasn't for people like you! JABU is DEAD. Last year these so called elephant rescuers, put Jabu back into the wild, he was found 2 MONTHS later DEAD, he'd only known captivity in all his 35 years, elephants live between 60 and 70 years, and people, he hadn't a clue how to live in the wild, and being a bull elephant wouldn't have been welcomed into a wild herd, he didn't know how to defend himself he'd never had to do it. These people should be prosecuted they haven't put any of this on here, but its on Google, where I found it. He hadn't been poached according to them so that made it okay in their eyes, they think he'd been in a fight with a wild bull elephant, well what a surprise, I've never known anything like it, just his tusks he'd have been a prime target with poachers. These people should be prosecuted and shut down, no common sense or empathy, he didn't stand a chance he was abandoned to certain death. This beautiful TAME elephant 😪

No more anything as beautiful last year these people returned him to the wild even tho he'd been in captivity all his 35 years and knew nothing but people he lived 2 MONTHS when he was found dead. Look on Google they've put nothing on utube, they said he hadn't been poached so in their eyes what they did was OK. They ought to be shut down. No common sense or empathy whatsoever 😪

2:00 The long white implement, in sanitized language, is called a "guide," but is otherwise known as a Bullhook, which has a sharp steel point on the end, which is used by elephant trainers to cause pain, to force the elephant to do what they want the elephant to do. Bullhooks can have a variety of end-shapes, just as this one has only a sharp point. Bullhooks are not ethical, they are a method of Force, and are not compatible with trust or respect. Elephants are very smart, and are well able to bond with the person that raised him or her, that treats them with respect, kindness and Love, such that no implement is needed, such that the elephants will treat the people in kind, with the same respect the elephant is shown. Bullhooks are not implements of respect, they are implements of pain that violate the elephant's free Will to choose. These handlers have forced these elephants, as small calves, through what is known as the Crush, aka Torture Training, as that is the method of "training" young elephants to do what you want upon demand, to obey you. It is brutal, it is terribly violent and abusive, and it is the traditional method man has used to "train" elephants. It is Not acceptable, it violates all trust, and is violently unethical. Any time an elephant handler has any implement in their hand, or stuck through their belt, they are not relying on trusted friendship, but have used that implement many times in the past, and the elephant knows it is present, that they have to obey. While the elephants are beautiful, the very presence of the Bullhook shows a violational relationship and history that the handlers have imposed on these elephants. There is no possibility that it is any other. That is what those implements are all about, that is what they are for. This is why the handler went behind the elephant before telling the elephant to lay down, because it put their use of the implement out of sight of the camera and onlookers' eyes. How does one come upon orphan elephants? Were they rescued after their mother died, as is the case with Sheldrick Wildlife Trust of Kenya, and their orphans project, which is a legitimate rescue program? The common way a private enterprise like the place in this video "comes across" "orphan" elephants, is by the killing of their mother and herd, aka "culling." That is how elephant calves have been taken from the Wild, whether in Africa or in Asia, whether in 1880, 1930 or 2010; that is how many countries obtained elephants for zoos, circuses and private enterprises. Be wise: don't support places like this. We may not be able to prove how they came to obtain these elephants as calves, but the very presence of that implement proves to me that these elephants have been "trained" through pain. If it were not so, they wouldn't be holding that implement. Don't support the abuse of elephants. If it were not so, they would ditch those implements completely.
@freetworoam7408
@freetworoam7408 2 года назад
You talk in absolutes and make wild accusations, yet you have done absolutely no research on this organisation or how these elephants came to them (hint: they were rescued after a culling). We know about the crush and torture training through our time visiting elephant sanctuaries in Thailand and we would never support any organisation that treated elephants that way.
@cacatr4495
@cacatr4495 2 года назад
@@freetworoam7408 As you say, these elephants were taken through a cull, and yes, that is what it is called. They were not orphaned, their mothers and families were killed by people, and that is precisely how circuses and zoos around the world have gotten their elephants, unless and until a calf was born to them years later. Multipled thousands of adult elephants have been killed through culls, without just cause, and it's heinous and immoral. Don't make the mistake of thinking that only Asian elephants have been forced through Crush/Torture Training, trained by pain. Every single African elephant used to perform (across the Earth) has also been trained through pain. "Implement." Because they have trained these elephants to impress you, because they are hiding behind the elephants to do it, because they are using a long implement, the odds of their performance being trained through pain are extremely high. If they are not going to let those elephants just be elephants but are making them do tricks, it indicates the mindset and "value system" of those training them. The odds that you were duped to believe those people are innocent is quite high. They themselves may not have been involved in a cull, but you're saying they obtained those elephants as calves as the direct result of a cull. There is no way for an observer like me to know that those holders of the long, white implement are innocent. One can read their entire website, shake their hands in person, and still not know who they are. They show very strong indicators or evidence by making the elephants obey them by using that long, white implement. IF an implement is necessary EVER, that is TREMENDOUSLY strong reason to believe as I do about these people. During your entire video, that handler always had that implement in their hand. That communicates, both to the elephants and to me. If it weren't so, they **wouldn't** have it in their hands, period. You don't see Sheldrick Wildlife Trust ever holding an implement of any kind. *There's the difference. I have been studying elephants of both Africa and Asia for almost 8 years, I'm not naive.
