Hiking the Platteklip Gorge Route on Table Mountain 

The Platteklip Gorge Route is the most direct route up Table Mountain in Cape Town but it's also the most exposed. It can get very hot in summer and the steps are quite steep for people like us who have short legs!
It's a great workout and as you can see the views at the top are absolutely worth it. If you're feeling tired you can always take the cable car back down.
