Only reason why I don't use this is because it takes away the effort and skill needed. Sure I can't do as much but it is so much more satisfying to pull of complex maneuvers all on my own.
He's missing on purpose, he doesn't try to kill the slugcat but he's just trying to scare him off by throwing things at him. It happens a lot with scared friendly scavengers.
Am i weird for thinking this? but, why do scavs climb over and on top of eachother sometimes? like, why do you rebar throwing monkeys show your @$$holes to anyone in a 30 spear radius of you?
I think what it is, is that until the end it wasn't trying to kill you. Scavengers that are less aggressive won't try to kill you on sight, but will intentionally miss you in order to scare you off, but once you stole the spear and threw one in his direction, he saw you as a threat to eliminate
Errmmmm 🤓☝️ actually it's a feature of variation of the scavengers, in this case a high inner value in game make this scavenger do various warning shots. or they're just bad at aiming
I think those initial throws were meant to be warning throws. The scav missed intentionally until you proved yourself a threat by taking one of its spears, which lowered your reputation and angered the scav Edit: it appears this information has already been shared and noticed
i decompiled the original hurricane mod's code and made some interesting discoveries about hurricane lizards: - hurricane lizards and train lizards have the exact same stats, but their appearance is slightly different. - train lizards, unlike hurricane lizards, have rounded shoulder scales instead of long, sharp ones. - contrary to popular belief, hurricane lizards don't have an electric bite. they create electric particles when they collide with any creature, but this does not damage or stun them. the shock particles are only visuals. - hurricane lizards and train lizards have the same color, and it can never have any variation. it's always the same shade of dark purple. - train lizards create electric particles whenever they bite, even if they don't catch or damage anything. these particles are visual only, and hurricane lizards don't have them. - additionally, train lizards do not create particles when colliding with anything, unlike hurricane lizards. - the code recognizes hurricane lizards as red lizards. they're not a separate species like train lizards. instead, red lizards have a 10% chance of having their appearance and stats changed when they spawn. - in the hurricane mod's code, they are never referred to as hurricane lizards or train lizards, but rather, "lightning" lizards. therefore, this is their only canon name, not train or hurricane. - hurricane and train lizards are both completely immune to all centipede shocks unless underwater, and all untamed lizard bites. - hurricane lizards are vulnerable to pole plants, monster kelp, vultures, and more, because their electric shocks don't actually damage or stun anything. they only occasionally escape because of their high body mass. - since hurricane lizards are recognized as red lizards by the code, just with a different appearance, they have all the abilities of red lizards, including spitting, being extremely aggressive, and not being afraid of most things. train lizards, on the other hand, are absolutely pathetic, with no abilities and being terrified of everything.
