Thanks for checking us out. My name is Mike and I'm the owner of M&M PRECISION PAINTING, a painting business in Red Lodge Montana. I'm here to help the average person learn tips and tricks to paint like a pro. I know that sounds counter intuitive, but I enjoy helping others because some folks just can't afford the services I provide. I have a degree in Physics and was also a personal trainer but fell in love with painting due to the gratification I get via my work and going the extra mile just to wow my customers. I will try to upload a video once a week to teach people the tricks of the trade so they can do it alone.
The corded version is just cheaper. The difference between cordless versions are as follows. The TC pro uses proprietary tips whereas the Ultimate, Ultra & Ultramax use professional rack X tips. The ultra is not design for flammable solvents whereas the ultramax is. One easy way to tell the difference is the nozzle that you connect your tip to is metal for the spirit based paints but plastic for flammable solvents & also use a brushless motor.
Hi Mike, watched your video. I have a question about the lubricant that you were using. Was wondering what kind or where do you find this lubricant and how do you apply it? Thanks for your video was very good. God bless.
@@MMPRECISIONPAINTING so use mineral spirits and do everything you showed, then what? Water to wash out the spirits or just leave that in there until using it next time?
@@atubeviewer4942 Fill the sprayer with mineral spirits. Let the solution sit in the sprayer for a while to loosen the paint residue, then flush it out by spraying it through the nozzle. Repeat this process until the sprayer is clean. Finally, rinse with water and allow it to dry completely.
What do you do if ceiling in house was stippled after the wall was painted and you want to repaint? Popcorn is in the way and not allowing me to make a straight line? I've seen some people make a small groove with a screwdriver around ceiling but then there's wall paint on ceiling so not sure if there's another way. Thankyou!!!
This was SUPER helpful. Thank you soo much for posting this! We were painting a fireplace build late last night and I was becoming so frustrated, and almost gave up. Your trick of spraying it upside down was exactly the step we needed to make this work. Thank you x infinity!! 😁
Thank you for the video. Very helpful. You make it look so easy!! If you doing a new drywall , how would you go about the spraying and back rolling? The drywall absorbs the primer so fast. Thanks again and keep on the good work!!
@@MMPRECISIONPAINTING I found another video that you did four years ago: PRIMING NEW CONSTRUCTION - SUPER EASY! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ko1Z-uuZHeQ.html Thank you and keep on the awesome work!!
So no real how to tips? Just try and get it as close as you can without getting any on the ceiling which I knew already. Thanks for wasting my time, I could have painted the wall in the time I watched the video.
Just curious but why would someone spray and backroll when they can just roll initially? It would seem less work with masking to just roll 2 coats. Does it leave less stipple with the spray or something?
It leaves no stipple with spraying. If you spray it on and need to touch it up at anytime you'll need to spray on the touch ups or it will flash and not match. I spray it on to save the time and hassle of dipping the roller and transferring it from bucket to wall, plus moving the five around.
Yes, this can extend the life of your airless. I find that when doing a cost benefit analysis, I save more time and money just replace the pump when it finally does go bad. If you only use it as a diy every now and then, then It's worth it. I use mine everyday, so they never sit for long.
