Everything is priced to market. ETBs can be bought even now from some retailers priced higher than scalpers selling on eBay. We aren’t getting a reprint like in Japan. We are getting a premium product at a premium cost. If all we get is this 140-180 pound product and that’s it I expect prices to rise. The only thing that will make prices drop is restock at prices close to original prices which isn’t going to happen. New product is also compulsory buy for anyone wanting to complete their collection
Investing is buying sealed cases from a whole saler for the cheapest price, scalping is going to Costco and buying a pallet of 151 tins and leaving none for other people and selling them for double the price on eBay. I hate scalpers and respect investors. I hate investors though that will comment on a video of someone opening a booster box having fun and be like “thanks for taking this off the market” like alright a**hole we get it your life depends on cardboard. 😂
There are a handful of these locally for pretty cheap I'm very tempted to snatch them up just for the long-term increase in evolving skies value alone.
I will take the pc promo stamp over a first edition, leave first edition with the old sets with new sets it will just equal another thing people will want to scalp and lead to some cards having ridiculous prices.
I’m really starting to see the potential in Pokémon card investments, especially with cards like the Bubble Mew! These vintage and unique cards are gaining so much traction - they’re like mini stocks at this point. Anyone else holding onto gems like this or looking to add them to their collection? Excited to see where the market takes us with these classic cards!"
I agree with most of what you said. I might have put Neo a slot lower and I think base is #1. It’s the one that started it all. Like you said any person on the street could recognize it. It was also self contained in playability. The simpler art works really make the Pokémon shine as the center piece of what the cards are.
Might be an unpopular opinion but I think the pokemon center stamp and the 1st edition stamp from base set is overrated. Literally the same artwork from 1st edition Charizard and Shadowless. Same thing here with Charmander. I'd rather have the non stamp one and save money. 😅🤷🏻♂️
It’s funny, yesterday morning I bought the obsidian flames pokemon center etb on stockx (best price I found) then at noon I watched your video and this morning the item is double the price from yesterday 😅
ETBs are the only thing in stores, no one buys them. They slap a stamp on the promo card and sell them as exclusives from their official store and everyone’s buying them … genius move by Pokemon 😂

I dont think anything will be supplaning PC ETBs anytime soon. But times do change. Just not now.
S&V is better than S&S. There I've said it. Silver Borders cr@p al over Yellow borders. And the Vintage cards look rubbish! Gen 9 cards are sleek, and if loving the S&V cards is wrong.. well, I don't want to be right! Evolving Sky's?... GET OVER IT PEOPLE!
I was a stay at Home mom with no money in my IRA or any savings of my own, which was scary at 53 years of age. Three years ago I got a part time job and save everything I make. After 3 years, I am 56 yo and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in my portfolio with CFA, Evelyn Infurna. Since the goal of getting a job was to invest for retirement and NOT up my lifestyle, I was able to scale this quickly to $150,000. If I can do this in a year, anyone can.
I know this lady you just mentioned. Evelyn Infurna Services is a portfolio manager and investment advisor. She gained recognition as a former employee at Goldman Sachs; a renowned investor she is. Evelyn Infurna has demonstrated expertise in investment strategies n has been involved in managing portfolios and providing guidance to clients.
I went from no money to lnvest with to busting my A** off on Uber eats for four months to raise about $20k to start trading with Evelyn Infurna. I am at $128k right now and LOVING that you have to bring this up here
I appreciate you making these videos. Gives me, newbie, lots of ideas how & where to begin. Thank you. Is Stellar Crown your recommended one to start with?? Thanks in advance ☺️
I was curious if there is any information or if anyone knows how other language cards stand. For example I have mostly Korean and Japanese cards and then a few English and Chinese sealed Promos. I assume that they are less but are they worth keeping for the long term?
The Chinese sealed promos are worth keeping. A few vendors I have spoken to at card shows are quietly buying up Chinese cards whilst they’re so low in price … they’ll explode in price soon just as Jap cards did …. Supposedly 🤷♂️ it’s what I’ve been told
The way you describe things that seasoned pros might find trivial compared to newbies who haven’t heard of anything yet is really refreshing. You’re so welcoming into the hobby and it’s something I love about your personality! Keep up the great work! Loving seeing the content rolling out
The only pokemon center etbs from S&V I don't have so far is paldean fates and evolved. I really wish I got them when I could, I was being stingy. Its a weird feeling not having a complete set.
@@AB-wy7dr yeah it is. You can try to make fun of people for expressing their feelings all you want, but it is. I mean, its a real first world problem and I'm not losing sleep over it, but still.
@ Oh yeah, that is nice! That would be nice to have in my country aswel! Now I am paying like 130,- USD to get an pkm center surging spark etb delivered at home
people basically paying more than the etb the promo came in for just the promo within a year of release is authentic purchases ? 👀🤣Seems like this is more like the singles in the recent past just being scalped/manipulated.
The Pokemon Center Surging Sparks ETB is now unavailable. I know you stated its low restock but they'll surely restock when the product is actually released... right?
PC ETBs always sell out. This is nothing new. My best advice is to learn the trends from this hyped set, don’t overpay for product, and be educated for the next release.
As someone who is just looking into dipping a toe into the world of Pokémon collecting and TCG, do you think Surging Sparks is a good place to start collecting/investing?
It will crash! Always something new people focus on and get excited about! 151 isn't that good! 4 good cards so what! Shortage my arse 🤣 printed in to oblivion! Like all modern, especially scarlet and violet, even swsh! People crap their pants jump on band wagon but never sticks! 151 isn't even close to how good a set evolving skies is so stop comparing the 2!!
I've been on this boat since the start, thank goodness. I buy a case of each, open 3, and keep 1 ETB for the sealed collection. I have an abundant amount of PC stamp cards and at first I was dreading having some many promos, and now, I'm more thankful than ever.
