im getting an error in instantiate_rooms() if y < map_height and map[x][y + 1] == true: room.south() the error reads Invalid access of index '7' on a base object of type: 'Array'.
I love that you're making Defold tutorials. This will help a lot. I wish the video wasn't so heavily compressed, though. It's hard to read the small text, and there is a lot of ugly artifacting.

i got to 1:31:20 but stopped because my godot dosent have the scene, project, debug, editor, help, buttons in the top left corner anyone know how to fix this?

I know this is way late, but I just found this video, so I wanted to comment for any one else finding the video. In Day/Night Cycle, when setting your time variable to 0 when it's 1, can be done using Godot's math function: float fmod ( float x, float y ). "mod" or "modulus" is the remainder when divided. So any number that isn't 1 will remain, but when it is 1, will become 0. If you are working with integers, then the format is value1 % value2. So 2 % 2 would be 0. 2 % 4 would be 2. 2 % 1 would be 0. You can try this on your calculator. Using modulus is much faster than using "if/then" statements. If you needed something extra to happen when time >= 1, then you could use the "if/then" statement.

@@Zenva the first chapter (0 - 1.5h) gave me the most, a good introduction to the 2d, 3d and scripting features. Also worth noting that the pace and language was perfect for me. I'm gonna dive deeper into 2d and the scripting to get the feel for Godot and establish some workflows 😊
I was working on a Arkanoid clone, but with my own spin. It is done in 3D, and I have a lot of ideas for it. But I hit a brick wall with the math (trigonometry), and art. I don't intend for it to be commercial, since it is a learning project. There are videos on my channel showing some concepts I got working. I even tried making it in Unreal Engine. I was making progress but got tired of the engine crashing often, so I uninstalled lol.
