Good to see this, brings back a lot of memories. I had about 9 variations back in the day picked up a mostly from Parramatta record fair. Met frank a few times also Would love to see more of your collection. I've still got pics of mine including Love Buzz 88/1000. Such fond memories of hunting this stuff.
Just bought my 30th Bleach variant. Very addictive collecting this album. I haven’t dove into the US 3rd pressing collection yet, but that is on the horizon if I can ever find affordable copies. I have two copies to track down from the first two generations before delving into 3rd gen and one is just a matter of finding a deal as multiple copies are for sale on Discogs. Very cool that you have so many country first pressings; I’ve stuck mainly to US, UK, and Australia; my apologies to Japan, Germany, and Brazil. Glad you got some of yours before the recent vinyl craze! I did get all from 4th generation forward at basically retail value. You have a great collection and perhaps has even grown since you made this video about 6 years ago. Cheers!
Hey mate I just started collecting nirvana LP there online for thousands could you give me some info on some rare ones? I got hormaning australia maron swerl coulerd one I just brought Afew on eBay but don’t no if there worth a lot
Very nice collection. I have the majority of the colors you showed on this video. 1st pressings still are on my want list especially the UK Tupelo. Plus, are you aware there are alternate variations of the USA 3rd pressing and Australian Waterfront. And I don't mean the colors.
The 2009 LP reissue was cut from the analog masters by George Marino at Sterling Sound, with Jack Endino present. It sounds really good actually. If you can’t get an OG copy then it’s a great option.
So nice to see another Aussie 👍 Would love you to do a vid on some of the Aussie pressings. Surely we must have our own Bob Ludwig, Steve Hoffman etc types?! All the best
Hey mate. Thanks. Definitely going to do some more videos this year. I’ve been shocking keeping up with it all!! I should do some research into that, I’m sure we do!
No dumb questions at all mate. Not particularly. To get technical: All vinyl records are made of PVC, which is naturally colourless anyway. To turn this clear material into a solid color titanium dioxide and other additives are mixed in. To make the standard black vinyl color, black carbon is often added, which strengthens the PVC mix.
Babies do tend to take up your time. I bought my Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison at a yard sale just south of San Francisco in 2014. I can remember how the seller ridiculed me for buying it. "Oh don't you miss that crackley vinyl sound....shkkkkkkkkk". I didn't quite know how to react at the time but I guess I have the last laugh because I paid USD 50 cents for it and I could probably get GBP 60 for it if I wanted to sell it.
It really was. It definitely felt like there were more decent releases. Not just he usual money grabbing ones that are a bit pointless. That said there were still plenty of those too :)
+BarakaPDub thanks heaps mate. That really means a lot. Love your videos a lot. Haven't had a chance to do more lately. Life's getting in the way as it does. Got a bunch of ideas though. Thanks again for checking out my video and the comment. Appreciate it!
Just subscribed to your channel my friend! Have a great day Nick!!!💪😄✌ Hope to see you again!!! And a belated congratulations to your marriage. Cheers cheers! - ian
Your "PPM" album has a cool variation of the back cover; "The Beatles" in blue. Never saw that before. In the U.S. the "Red, White & Blue" albums were issued on limited R, W, & B colored vinyl in the late 70s.
If you type the deadwax codes into Google, it will bring up a Discogs.com listing, then refresh the screen by clicking on "ALL" pressings, and when you see the highlighted entry, it will tell you the year and country it was pressed in. Or you can enter the deadwax writing here and one of us can look it up! (In reference to your Abbey Road "I Love Jazz" LP.

+Gregory Short (popcrackle.com) thanks mate. Really appreciate the comment. Yeah she does. She even put into her vows that she wouldn't get angry if I brought home new vinyl. :) Love seeing people's Beatles collections as well. Really love seeing all the variations etc.
+Spinnin' Greek hey mate. Thanks heaps. Will try and keep them coming. Running out of band collections. Might have to start branching out into other ideas. :)
+Craig Vinyl hey mate. I get mine from a local record store. I'll double check online tomorrow for you. I think I know a shop that would ship for a pretty good price. I'll let you know.
www.discusrecords.com.au/mobile-fidelity-sound-lab-mofi-original-master-sleeves-50-pack These guys seem to be one of the cheaper online. eBay might also be a choice. My suggestion would be to talk to the owner of your local record store and see if they can order them in. Save on shipping and cut out a step.
That is a whole lotta Bleach! There is collecting and then there is COLLECTING. You sir, are the latter. WOW. That is some commitment. Nice vid! Cheers. -Stavros
+Spinnin' Greek thanks mate. It has taken me a while. Many many I am missing. Don't think I will try and get them but you never know hehe. Appreciate the view mate.
Checked out your channel after seeing your comment on mine. Catching up on your videos this weekend. Looks like we have similar tastes. Cheers! -Stavros
Man, your collection is pretty good, but the way you treat your records is terrible ! Take care of them , don't touch playable surface and always use inner sleeves !
+Marcin Skorupka thanks for the comment on my collection. Don't think I treat my records terribly though. I am very particular with them. I use MOFI sleeves for all my records and always try to avoid touching the playing surface.
+Marcin Skorupka You got me wondering so I had a look. I took records out by the edge of the run in groove. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. It may look like it but I never actually put my finger on the playing surface. To each their own I guess.
+pigbobman cheers mate. Really appreciate it. Bleach has some amazing variations that's for sure. I've Been super busy and just got married so haven't had time to update lately. Will do another video soon.
+Sloop John H thanks mate. Really appreciate it. Been super busy and just got married so haven't had time to update lately. Will do another video soon.
Hi I'm TrishWelcome to the VCYou'll find fellow music here for sure.I welcome tyou to check out my channel I talk about music and do other videos too! Trish
wow dude! seeing how may copies there are was a real eye opener. Would never have guessed that many. Some of those 3rd US pressings really are very easy on the eye. Ashamed to say i dont yet own a single Nirvana record but they certainly are on my want list. Great vid.
And that's only a small %. There are so many other coloured varieties in the 3rd US pressing. Plus all the other countries and the newer coloured variants. Let me know when you add some Nirvana vinyl to your collection. Thanks for watching my vids mate.
Cool intro. I have a similar thought process behind starting my record collection and recently had a purge because i found myself buying all sorts of stuff on record that i just wasnt going to listen to again. Would love to see the nirvana collection. Cheers
Thanks mate. The way I figure, it's pointless to have records taking up a large amount of space if you are never going to listen to them. That said, I don't ever play some of my Nirvana Records. Not because I don't want to listen to them, but because I want to keep them in Un played condition
+Down Under Vinyl if they are special to you then it doesnt matter whether you play the nirvana or not, as long as you enjoy owning them which i can see by your bleach vid that you do.
