Russo doesn't/cant understand Roddys point. Russo was never qualified to be the head writer in the fist place and cant/refuses to admit it. Russo being the head writer and not being qualified hurt many many people and brought down the Wrestling business. In reality its McMahons fault not Russos. Russo did the best he could coming from being a fan and not taking the business seriously.

2 of my favorites. As McMahon brought in new talent I started resenting them in the gimmick days. Jake the Snake was a different story. I liked him instantly. I would even get upset when when the WWF stars in the territory when I started watching would lose to new guys. Jake was different, even as a heel I just liked him. Roddy was the top heel when I started watching WWF and I was never a fan of him as a wrestler. However after Kayfabe died and I saw him in interviews I ended up loving piper for the man he is (no homo). Great podcast host and guest.
