Hello, I am Martina Eberl former LET and LPGA Tour player and run Martina Eberl Coaching. As a multiple winner on the Ladies European Tour I've been one of the most successful German golfers. Since I stopped playing professionally myself, I try to pass on my knowledge and skills around golf to everyone out there. I do private lessons at the Golf Club Odelzhausen near Munich, host golf and fitness events, and also try to share tips and ways to progress in your own game on RU-vid and Instagram. Enjoy my content and good luck on the fairways out there! I am looking forward to your feedback.
I can make 10 great practice swings, but get over the ball and it's rush, rush , rush. Crush it. Of course I usually slice, because my body is way ahead of the club face and it comes across open on impact .
Hi Martina! I'll keep the reply in English as I struggle a bit in German! This is BRILLIANT! I have worked through this video suggestion today at the club range and you are so concisely perceptive of what is required and likewise produce excellent advice! I stepped onto the range, used the warm up routine and hit 5 consecutive 6 irons about 175 (range balls) off the grass, not teed up which for me at 74 is great! I have been struggling for 9 months after a broken right ankle to get back in the game after 20 year lay-off due to family illnesses during which my Wife passed away and can confirm unreservedly the excellence of your advice for me now! I tried to respond "auf Deutsch" on you DE channel too to another video! Kindest Regards, John, 74 , near Brighton UK
Hi John, this is so nice from you! I wish you all the best, good luck and I am glad you found your way back into Golf! Keep it up! Maybe you come and visit me in Munich at some point :)
@@martina_eberl_coaching_en Thank you Martina, If ever I have the opportunity I would really like to meet you at the Munich GC! Once again many thanks for your video lessons, by far the best for me! Kindest Regards, John 😊
Hi Martina, just found your channel and this video. Great structured explanation and set-up tips. Thank you, John, 74 , near Brighton UK - my basic German from 60 years ago reminds me to say " Das war ausgezeichnet und ich werde mir weitere Videos von dir ansehen (hope that's reasonable German!)
I am a low hp golfer and I use often draw and fade not only with the driver but also with other clubs. You teach the classic way to play a fade but there is a much simpler way to do it ( at least it works for me ).At set up use a very weak grip then you slightly ( not excessive ! ) open the club face so it aims at the right of your target. The ball will fly slightly right from the beginning. On the classic method the ball will start to fly straight and then it turns right but the result more or less is the same
Thank you Martina - another great tip. Vielen Dank! By the way - do you have an opinion on the "Stack and Tilt" approach to giving more consistent ball striking?
I am sold. 90 golfer tried draw for 2 years. Maybe didn't do it right anyway. Plan to try fade. Always get confused but I think I understand club face to destination line and stance to start. Swing along stance position. Is that correct?
@@martina_eberl_coaching_en Getting there. The thing is two holes on our course are dogleg right. It would be good to hit a least straight or fade to make hole easier. A draw while it may look great only lengthens the hole.
@@martina_eberl_coaching_en Ok had a good session on the range. Some perfect and others not so much. One thing when you do it right it is fun!?. It seems like you can swing confidently and the ball drifts back to to the right, very cool.
I have a question about using the club to measure the launch angle of the ball, by standing on the club-face, like you demonstrate at 7:40. You mention this is OK in a private round, so are you saying it isn't allowed during a competition? If it is not OK for the player to do it, I think it might be OK for a caddy to do it, because I first saw this done in a pro tournament where the caddy tested the launch angle just like that. I've done it myself a couple of times in club competitions, but didn't realise it wasn't allowed.
Well I don't think that even a caddy could do it. But maybe I am wrong. But as a player you surely cant do it.... Its like a tool which could help on course, like if you would lay the club along your feet to line them up. Also not allowed...
Your videos are excellent and have helped me a lot! Thank you! Can you make a video explaining why the left leg straightens as you hit the ball and why it’s a speed factor? I’m very confused about what to do with the left leg. Thanks!
Your video comes closest to answer a question I still have, but which seems like has an obvious answer... Should the "line" on the golf ball be pointed TO the hole, or pointed in the direction of the break line that you intend to putt?
Glad to see this but it came a day too late for me. 😂 Yesterday I took four shots to get it out of the bunker, that said, the bunker side was very high and steep and the ball only a foot away! In a game I would probably take a drop shot but in practice I wanted to have a go.
Welcome, very nice to hear this! If you have any questions concerning anything in your game, where you can't find your answer on this channel, just let me know!
This explains why majority of weekend golfers sux.. To be able to turn this way and then strike the ball with your right shoulder down!! Power position. Good luck to us weekend golfers. 😅
Martina nice to see you playing on that beautiful course. I take your round of golf as for educational purposes and more importantly i liked your colourful trolley. Regards Manzoor golf coach
Liebe Martina, bei Minute 9 konnte ich voraussagen, dass der Putt rechts am Loch vorbei geht. Und tatsächlich. Du musst das target Auge öffnen und damit zielen. In Deinem Fall: close your right eye, aim with your left eye. Dann geht der Ball ins hole. Gruß Thomas
Thanks a lot! I am sure you have great coaches around too! Otherwise you have sooo many videos on my channel meanwhile, just keep on watching and sharing :)
