I bet the executives got their pay and parachutes. There’s no honor in management in the grand majority of companies anymore. If there ever was. No body cares about you, but you.
Sit'n across from the Campbells Soup in Maxton, N.C. wait'n on appointment,,, saw a man hop out of a car and start pop'n off rounds at another car that just left,, he pick'd up his spent case'ns, hop back in his car and left,,, cops show'd up and say'd it was a daily occurance,,, that was back in 2002,,,,
I used to run team at miller transporters. We only had experienced drivers doing it. We were both always so tired because we couldn't sleep in a moving truck. Don't do it guys it's just too dangerous.
I once worked for a local small trucking company, they had six KW trucks and 12 reefer trailers. They had 5 older T-600's and one T-2000, I hated washing that T-2000 every week.....it was definitely an ugly truck LoL They have 6 newer trucks now, either a T600 or T800 I'm not sure, all are studio sleepers with 18 speed automatics.
Messing up everything is the goal, cant build a new house when there's an old barn still there. Just a bummer the elites aren't building anything as innocent as a house :(
Had a T370 propane bobtail truck on display at the open house day ay their proving ground near Burlington Washington. This was one of NW Propane's .trucks out of Lynden. I believe Vanderyacht Propane had one of their Peterbilt trucks in there another year. They are also from Lynden. Both companies are cool truck guys and dress all their trucks out excellent.
I've long used this trick first, taking them to a supermarket and using a shopping cart. Put them in front of the cart ang using two fingers, I explain their the tractor now push the cart around a corner. Something as simple as seeing it and understanding the dynamics of tractor pushing the cart makes the real world backing lesson much easier
Thanks for that info, Dave. I knew Pacar owned both, but didn’t know they were really SEPARATE companies. Figured since the Kenworth T680 is virtually identical to Pete 579. (At least they were when I retired a couple years ago.) I thought “same truck, different badge”. Like they do with cars.
You should fit and electronic head temp and transmission temp engine guard. It’s too late if your OEM fitted gauges start rising. The above work in real time.
Good day Driver. So glad you were able to take the time to drop by to catch today's video. Have you had any experiences with the Paccar brand? Good or bad? Love to hear what's on your mind!
You don’t want to part ways with this truck, Dave. It’s part of you, it’s your best background. I can imagine how excited you were when you got it and made it yours. It’s a piece of history, they don’t make them the same. Part of you trying to let go was probably testing your love for it… Keep the joy, money will come to you regardless. Keep the shiny side up!
You can train all you want, there will be a large percentage that drive like idiots. I may be wrong, but aren't most of the accidents still caused by people in cars?
