Get the heck out of here. I've been watching you since you posted the log rafting trip. I love my peaveys and was looking at another one. Well here I find Dave's much younger, thinner, less gray, better...oh sorry I'll stop. Anyhow funny seeing you here. :)
The Gibson to me sounds more open and bright and treble-heavy. The Seagull sounds maybe more balanced, definitely more warm and a bit more bass and mid. I have a Seagull 25ann Maritime CW and it’s a great guitar. I have been preaching for years that Godin Guitars (Seagull is a Godin brand) are excellent, excellent guitars, tremendous value for the money and are definitely underrated domestically.
Just so we're keeping track of what a Transtube Bandit can do: 1) It's a good sounding pedal platform that you can dial some Fender vibes in and out using the Tube Dynamics 2) You can absolutely dial in a sick chug on the distortion channels 3) Then there's this trick where you can crank the cleans and dial up the TD and get it into Marshall territory In 2024, I still don't think there's a more flexible combo amp, at anywhere near the price. I got mine for $200 at GC so the price has gone up but it's still cheaper by a lot than a Katana
used guitar pro 5 and have every song you can imagine. Jail break, heard it. i said ya i did all four tracks drums bass angus and malcom and man it sucked the playing was good but the sound was shit didn't even know what the hell i had it was a 4 track teac audio interface with some kind of daw used the mace and the duece to get that hells bells sound 2000 gibson no paint just 59's heavy ma ma sounded tight and creamy loved it with the peavey any one any day oh the jail break sounded like shit because i didn't know shit for shit how to use the teac four track sounded like a pilow fight. lol. keep rockin
B was obviously the Gull from the first chord I heard. It's not a bad guitar. Hot take that the commenter won't like. Neither of these guitars sound particularly good.
Aloha Braddah! Guitar A had too much external noise….like you had a long sleeve shirt on, unbuttoned and the button was hitting the guitar, too annoying. Guitar B was not recorded at the same time because you cannot hear that noise. B is probably the Seagull….more bass sounding. Mahalo nui loa for sharing
Actually, that same sound can kind of be heard on the B guitar as well. This should be a lesson in cleaning up your sound, that banging/tapping sound is annoying….hearing being elevated since the visual is not there.
I just got a seagull s6 slim that my aunt gave me and it plays and sounds great! I love how you can feel the guitar vibrate while playing it. I can’t believe I never heard of these guitars until I got this one. Truly a good guitar
tryin to find out the difference between red & silver stripes. ......the red has Reverb/presense/Tdynamic ........but the silver has only t dynamic & presense only yet has way more buttons. the red has like toggle swicthes. Im so torn, I know I love the silbvers tone, yet so many people say the red is the best.
I own a Seagull 6 and 12. Also a Minstrel 6 (Seagull before they changed names). The Seagull has more mids, the Gibson sounded like it had fresh strings and brighter.
Love the straight talking. I love it especially the grain patterns' never knew basswood was so cool. The blemishes are part of the tree, they select more perfect wood for more expensive guitars but I think it makes it unique. only question is that for a bit more you could get a Squire. But I always just put fake fender stickers over the cheap bass logos anyway when I gig and nobody ever questioned it
