@flawless_cowboy1 the wood went back on that pistol, i got a second j frame a Model 63 basically just a stainless version of that, and put the grips on that, and it looks way better
My brain is absolutely cooked from being up for the last 20 hours because I took a road trip to get a camper shell for my square body. Regardless, I'm still going to watch this video lol.
Nice, I used to have a 95 Youkon i don't why I sold it. I bet that 454 would rip with a ECU reflash. HP Tunes man, it's bit expensive but if u tune a lot of the same vehicle its the best way to go. Unlimited tunes for 99 to 03 chevy truck was $400 for me. It dose everything including transmission tuning.
I love g1s i have 2 of them and 1 my dad has had since i was born 14 years ago it is a 1984 and had the original engine and i beat on it pretty good and it ran fine until the cranshaft broke in 3 pieces on a camping trip
I'm cursed with gmt400 suburbans. My first one I bought was a '96 with the 454 and barn doors, that thing was an absolute piece of shit mechanically. Somebody supposedly rebuilt the motor but they must have f*cked it up cuz it smoked like a banshee. The next one I got was a '94 half ton. Bought it with a bad transmission, payed someone to rebuild the transmission, then after replaced the transmission after I got hot it had 10 psi of oil pressure. A couple weeks later, someone pulled out in front of me and technically totaled it, The insurance company refused fault. Then a couple days after that the rear end decided to explode. A while after that I bought a 2004 suburban half ton Z71. I had that for a couple years and absolutely loved it, That's one of my favorite vehicles I've ever owned and the best road trip vehicle I had until I bought a 2007 Lincoln Town car.
@yaboimax6356 too bad on those gmt400s they're wonderful trucks when they work right. I also had a 2004 silverado. Wonderful truck but not even close to being as off road capable as my old 98 single cab 3/4 ton, and in turn my new suburban. And those panther cars are awesome! I've had probably 8 of them at this point.
@@Catboy. Yeah, I never really went off-road except with my '04 on a camping trip once. That's awesome that you've had at least eight panther platforms so far, this is my first. They've always been out of my price range lol, I'm used to fixing Buick 3800s that I can pick up for $200 to $500 even though I hate working on them. If I would have had the cash, I probably would have put a decent amount of money into that 96 k2500 suburban I had. It was maroon with black accents, gray interior and leather same as yours. Off-road wise, I would definitely trust a GMT 400 more with it being alot simpler. I'd love to get a 91 or so suburban so it has all of the modern amenities but still the square body style, I'll probably try my luck getting another GMT 400 at some point though. I had an '86 K10 pickup but it was lifted six inches and I didn't like it all that much. I recently rescued a 73 C10 from a backyard that's been sitting since the late '90s, My dad knew the original owner When said owner was still alive. I had a 93 k3500 single rear wheel that had a 350 and a nv4500 i think, and that thing would have been absolutely unstoppable off-road.
I’ve had a Taurus 357 all black with a 4 inch barrel A s&w snubby air weight in 38 And played with a 80’s 38 cop special. But the one I hold dear and true is a ruger sp101
My mother had one of those with the simulated wood down the sides. Loved ❤going family trips in that beast…and back then those cars were out of steel…none of this cheap plastic stuff nowadays…
I mean the great thing about getting a vehicle for free or for some non-monetary costs such as doing work for someone is that it leaves the money that you would have or could have spent on the vehicle in order for you to put that much more into it in fixing it up. If I remember right, I believe that 2.5 L V6 in some of those would have head gasket issues. I also believe that’s a timing belt engine, but I don’t believe it’s interference. And yeah, I don’t know why Toyotas do the weird thing with the fuel pump. I have seen several Toyota vehicles that have been like that. A third GEN four runner, a Pontiac vibe, which is basically a Toyota matrix with a different design and a general motors radio. I enjoy having project cars myself. My yard is full of them lol everything from A. Yugo to a 94 crown Victoria, to a Chevrolet Astro, to a 66 Ford pick up, a Suzuki XL seven, actually that’s more of just a driver. It doesn’t really have a lot of issues. Even though it does have the famous General Motors 3.6 L V6 lol i’m just overall a car guy lol but my taste is not hyper cars and super cars and sports cars and all of that. I love the regular vehicles that you just don’t see every day, like a third generation, Ford, Crown, Victoria, or an Isuzu, rodeo, or a 1995 Oldsmobile cutlass Sierra I used to have one of those.
I got a 1994 with just over $200,000 in exchange for doing some diagnostics and working on a vehicle. This particular one is exciting to me because of the fact it is a 1994 which is the year I was born. The reason the guy wanted to get away from it so badly is because it had an overheating issue that he couldn’t figure out when an actuality it’s simple the thermostat. He was just going to give this thing away for scrap to a guy that’s been in our area buying and hauling off scrap, but I told him I would take it in exchange for the work instead of in paying me. it does have a few issues with it, yeah, the headliner kind of doing its thing, wondering the best way to take care of that. Somehow, the rear window that rolls down in the drivers rear door is broken out and has been replaced with a piece of plexiglass that doesn’t fit, so would like to locate a rear window for that. and I think the idle air control valve is also acting up on it. It idles kind of funny but smooth out once you give it some throttle and that’s the only place where I can hear a leak is somewhere in that vicinity. Other than that, it seems to be a pretty decent car. I’ve always liked the crown Victoria, of that generation, reminds me of a blown up version of a 92 to 95 Ford Taurus a bit.But a much better more reliable car.
@colbywalsh4610 I really love aero vics check for vacuum leaks for your idling issue. I got one way back in 2017 for $400 that ran like crap, but it was just a $2 vacuum line that was disintegrated
@@Catboy. I think it’s cool that you’re into project cars I am also. Although I really did get screwed on one, but it was partly my fault. Ever since I was little, I always wanted an Isuzu rodeo. So I was perusing the Internet one day and found a 19 95 1/2 model Isuzu rodeo equipped just how I wanted one, the LS with the V6 in the five speed which is a fairly rare combination. they originally wanted 1500 but they told me they would sell it to me for 1100, I actually have a RU-vid video of this vehicle on my channel. You can hear that it has definitely something going on in the top end of the engine, so I’m afraid the whole top end of the engine is going to need to be rebuilt at some point. So it’s been parked since probably the end of 2022 I maybe started it up and drove it a little bit last year? but if I did, it wasn’t very long. I also have a 1998B 4000. And it has the fun cam crank synchronizer issue on that 4.0 L engine but yeah I will definitely take a look at the vacuum lines. I like my 94 two because it also has themetal intake manifold instead of the plastic like the 95 and newer had. It’s completely factory on the inside as well. Original radio, and yes, the tape player even still works.
