it would be nice to see the camry back on the road . a mustang convertible in winter, easy :D drove my miatas through many winters at 40 below :D a free vmax :O it would be fun in winter Tony the cat :D you have to go to fairbanks to find low rust vehicles . there is a city auction next week
With the camry if it has sat with old gas plus it's never been changed out you might run some injector cleaner through it or check that. I know all the problems I had with my old camry wagon that was 4 cylinder was electrical and with grounds and wires getting old and brittle. The little heater on them though would roast you out so it'll be a nice winter car.
I always get recommended the interesting channels on RU-vid, fuck it, this Channel is a trip im game. Let’s see what other cool shit you come across bubba.
Jump B+ and Fp terminals in diagnostic connector located under hood on the driver side strut tower. If car runs, the fuel pump switch ground wire connector is corroded
The "switch" I referred above is located inside of air flow meter; when the flap moves by the passing air, the switch closes (FP relay is grounded) providing power to he gas pump
@mkrp4 thanks for that info!! I tried that and no luck, I cracked a fitting on the fuel line just before the fuel filter in the engine bay, and turned the key to the on position but didn't crank, and no fuel came out.. so it's something to do with the fuel system I think. It should have primed and dumped gas out of the fitting right? So it's something with the fuel pump? Maybe the ecu?? Fuses or relays maybe. The previous owner was chasing this issue and had put a new pump into it before I got it, but never got it to run. Maybe the pump was bad out of the box, maybe he didn't install it correctly. I don't really know. I might have a shop take a look at it.
