The Floyd were masters of using tension & resolution in their music, and Sheep is a great example. The piece builds and builds filling you with anticipation, then it resolves with major chords leaving you bouncing in your seat.
54 now. Listened to PF since I was 14. Soundtrack to my fathers death from leukemia. Many years of pain for everyone involved. PF made me see the whole world suffers, not just me. Love them for that unwanted gift.
Prefer the album version mainly because this movie clip heavily drowns out the guitar solo. But the clip itself is cool to watch. And I've heard the song about a thousand times, so I guess it's a wash. 😊
Wow, you can really tell that's Gilmour on the fretless bass. In an interview, he stated most of their songs he played fretless bass because Waters was always late to recording sessions. He just overlayed the tracks of the recording because Roger was a very basic bass player, no flair and he didn't want to learn either.
I remember when this came out !! Went right to the stratosphere!! Such a fun and uplifting band !! Always loved them!! Their harmonies are phenomenal!!
Guys I was at a 1990s live concert where this MAGNIFICENT TRIBUTE TO 'OUR BROTHERS, SISTERS, GRAND/SONS, GRAND/DAUGHTERS, FATHERS AND MOTHERS IN ARMS' was performed and we all cried! It was an AWESOME CONCERT WHICH I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER!✌️👍🙏👏
Loved ❣️ Guys, I’m 59 year old woman and this is the sexiest song I have ever heard. L.A. 80’s girl got to hear them at the famous Laser light show Griffith Park observatory. There is a 15-minute “instrumental” version. Best love making groove out there. Try it and then kiss and tell ME here. 🔥🎸🎷🥁
One of their live shows I've seen included this tour at Soldier Field in Chicago on Father's Day 1977 of all days. Me and 60,000 of my closest friends got buzzed and jammed out not 40 feet from the stage. The live version had pigs flying across the stadium on wires, shooting lasers out of their eyes. For "Sheep" they shot off fireworks that turned into fluffy little clouds that looked like sheep. Purely a soul-changing experience seeing Floyd live. Cheers....
Говорить нечего! СУПЕР!!! До того грандиозно что аж мурашки по телу.В частности концовка. Хочется летать, даже как то величественно , такое ощущение .Я так это понимаю,На такое способен только Пинк Флойд .
I love this song it gives me strength cause I gave up in my self I took 20 oxycodyn I tried taking my own life but I keep listening too it cause it gives me strength believing in my Lord Jesus Christ that who wants me and loves me, thank you Metallica for making this song God bless you. ❤❤😢😊 Metallica.
Got into a sensory deprivation chamber in Austin back in the 80's, I had them pipe this album into the chamber. It was my 3rd visit, that is the visit they allowed any music. It was very moving.....
People says this song is made of two parts The first part is when the lyrics talk about when you are young The second part of s when you are adult and start feeling that time is different disappearances faster every day I my self think this song has three parts The first is a n the intro where we can hear a heart beat But if we pay attention there are two beats one is from a live person maybe a mother But in the hand drums we can hear the best of an unborn baby That is just me Maybe I am hearing too much!!!
Vin top middle thought he was being entertaining.......No stop that!! Well I don't know you personally but I felt like you weren't really listening with your soul my dude. I BLEED internally when this track plays and I ain't even a touchy feely kinda guy? such a Masterpiece!!!
This song. Once again, you love it when you're young....but it does take on a special meaning when you're getting older. I remember this playing in the background when I was saying how much I love you Mom. She was dying of ALS and it wouldn't be more than a year and she was gone. I was kneeling at her bedside, telling her how goddamn much I'm gonna miss you Mom. Watching someone you love, suffer, is hell on Earth indeed. hope your heart is touched as mine has been and continues to be.
