Just a suggestion, but since this seems like a beginner's guide, a short glossary of the main controls and what they are doing to the sound also in terms of the waveform would be great. Also, is running the sequencer in this case the same thing as pressing the keys on the keyboard manually one after the other?
This is one of those tutorials that merits multiple views. Thanks for doing this. I like the approach of recreating patches as a learning method. Stemming from that thought, how about recreating entire songs as a learning method? Imagine how much one could learn from doing that
These videos are a godsend. Thank you so very much. They are clear and concise, with demonstrations directly after the explanations on the effect of the sound. Love your PWM and “Can we recreate a patch on the JU-06a too.
How to undo this action? I ended up doing and lost some pre sets! I've already done a factory reset and it still doesn't work and are missing a few patterns
my music got high and low frequency . some time low is on high in my music. some time opposite . this one can fix that. I can not find any way while I made them.
Does anyone know which synth PWM first appeared on. I can't find any records. Obvs the minimoog had fixed width options but I can't find the first modulatable width synth.
That LFO pitch modulation at high speeds is very useful and it is what makes difference between a lot of lead sounds. Wobbly, buzzer, or noise modulated supersaw, and so on.
For some reason I've only just found this, but it's the best explanation I've ever come across. I've understood the amp envelope for years, but I always had problems understanding the Filter and LFO; no longer. Thank you so much for posting this; absolutely excellent. Dave
Thank you so much. The depth and way you explain where the terms come from. Really helps it go in my brain and remember it. I have played acoustic instruments for most of my adult life and starting to realise that electronic instruments are similar. I look forward to the future when I have got familiar with my synths and can play or m the sounds I want. Cheers man.
