hey! I found your video and it looks like the same issue I'm having with my 87 ford f150 XLT Lariat. I just replaced the turn signal switch and noticed when I screwed in the turn signal rod, I had to put it in on an angle and there was what I thought too much tension on it. the tilt mechanism would not hold position. so....I dismanted it again and loosened the shroud...sure enough, the pin holding the half moon piece that the rod sits in was cocked out of position. so I'll be doing the same fix. hopefully this resolves it. *UPDATE*:....sure enough. that was the problem. bonus...just tapped the pin back in. for those encountering this...what I did was turn the key to the on position and this allowed me to slide the outer collar off enough to expose the pin. ie: not have to disconnect the ignition actuator rod which is a PITA to get off/on. once that pin was driven back in...when I put the turn signal switch back into position it now allows free access to the hole for the turn signal rod to be screwed in without having to put it in on an angle. the steering tilt now works properly. bonus!
Thanks for the comment. I know sometimes there are other reasons for tilt failure but I couldn’t find videos on the issue I had so I’m glad that my vid helped.
@@ptnelsonster what threw me was tilt was working before taking the steering wheel and turn signal switch off...so it was strange coincidence that the pin was on the edge of it coming loose....anyhew...working again.
That you mount a fire extinguisher to the tractor and then trigger explosions inside your garage is pretty ironic. But I must say my favorite part was at 18:17.

An alignment front end only is only 60$ your time has to be worth something. No one that actually knows sht is impressed.this is just hacky and sad and a waste of time for what? Leading people astray. Even Mexico uses light boards and turn plates. Your suspension isnt loaded right probably not level. But none of it really matters when the truck is such an old tired worn out pos dose it? Just get her close and farm the omgs😂
NOT COMPLETELY TRUE, YOU NEED EQUAL ADJUSTMENTS ON BOTH SIDES OF YOUR VEHICLE, OTHERWISE YOUR STEERING BOX WILL TURN FATHER TO ONE SIDE THAN THE OTHER. 🙄
One thou might turn into .50 thou which will eventually throw the whole thing off. The clip would be better if he was micro anywhere other than inline with the drilled holes on rotor, yk?
I set a laser level line along the angle iron and running down the body and through the back wheel. It is not an exact process, but ensured it was pretty darn straight. Seemed to work well, the alignment is performing very well since then.
I always use electric. My tow trucks run perfectly cool even in Midwest summers at 110. You can run a thermostatic control box for the fans kick on only when needed or just run one direct to a key on relay and another on a switch. Or both on a switch if everyone operating is responsible. Thick zip ties and washers make installation easy. Wiring is very simple also.
This is an awesome little machine but I do need something bigger. I love the Allis Chalmers D14 cause I grew up driving one, but if I could get any old tractor now I’d get a series newer and a little bigger, like an Allis Chalmers 185.
