Born in Hong Kong and moved to Canada many years ago, this channel first started simply to share my daily life and favorite Toronto restaurants with global friends. Surprisingly, it gained traction, keeping me motivated. Having explored various countries for work and pleasure, I share honest opinions on restaurants serving different cuisines. Food is good but service is disgustingly rude and unparalleled to the usual Chinese restaurant services, namely the ladies at the front reception are despicable, we won’t go back.
Hello, I am really enjoying all your videos. Thank you. I am coming to Toronto in September and will be staying in the downtown area. I most likely will not have a car. Could you recommend some good restaurants serving good dim sum and good sushi? Thanks!
If you are staying in downtown, your go-to dim sum places will be in Chinatown. I have not been to any of them so I don’t know which is good to recommend, but I believe they are overall good compared to many places in North America. As for sushi place, we have been to one Michelin starred omakase sushi place but I think they charge $400 per person, pls chk if this is something you are after. Otherwise I have tried other places but they are far away from downtown. Yusuki sushi is a take-out place, but surprisingly their sushi is quite good. maps.app.goo.gl/BDDyu1iGEE5GvrsT7?g_st=ic They have a restaurant in downtown too but I have not tried it personally. Shouldn’t be too bad… maps.app.goo.gl/QLwTsNRU1GXK3E2J9?g_st=ic
@@TorontoHKger We have decided to try Edomae Kiyomi. We ate at the one in Tokyo and loved it. And also going to try Lee. Saw him on Top Chef long time ago.
Well done again for such meaningful and impactful interview(s)... especially to and for our dear Hongkongers. There was an excellent article mentioning 49 EXPERIENCES / ADVENTURES such as LAUGHED, CRIED, WORRIED etc., and BITTER & SWEET are simply the two trials among those 49 EXPERIENCES to be qualified as a true and successful OVERSEAS CHINESE !! The advertising tycoon David Ogilvy had his story of Blood and Tear... to illustrate the hard times and struggles in his life and career development. You young people do know how to withstand and bear for all these entitled challenges for good with ease and strong will. CHEERS.
