Seems, like many changes in policy like Brexit, that our hobby is caught up without really understanding the implications. I understand that bird flu is an issue and maintaining a knowledge of where stock is housed is important to prevent its spread. My view is that the risk posed by and too birdrooms is almost nonexistent. It seems though if we want to show our birds then we must register
Again a great video and interview with Peter who always gives an insight into his breeding, knowledge and reasoning behind his choices when it comes to his birds.
Wonderful Zebra Finches Mr Peter Harrison! Those Zebras are just Outstanding especially the Fawns you worked on! Hope you have great show and more success in the future breeding!🎉
Is it okay to keep them on their own in a cage as a pet? I’ve never seen the Norwich in a pet shop though. I’m in North Wales. Can you advise where to get one please?
You've more chance of a Newcastle brown ale than a tea or coffee Matt some lovely bird's on display I can see the name Spencer on the top table again this year
When you talk about 'this time of year', it would be helpful if you could actually tell us what month this is. Also what is the difference between a 'flighted' and 'unflighted' bird? Don't all birds fly?
This was filmed February, the term flighted and unflighted refers to the moulting of birds. A bird is classed as unflighted for roughly the first year of its life as in its first moult although it gets its adult plumage it retains its baby tail and flight feathers. In its second moult it drops these and replaces its body feather and becomes known as flighted, hope that helps. Matt
Credit to you and mr Spencer your birds speak for them selves well done lads your first season as partnership has gone great lads all the best Sammy boi
Greetings from San Diego, California Matt. I am very happy to have come across your channel. Halfway through part one of this series I knew I had to subscribe! Keep up the great work.
Great episode learned few tricks here and there even the way he put the two perches one facing up one facing down to be softer on birds legs....lots of knowledge passed by thanks gents
A great video Matt, all credit to Rob & his team, it just shows what can be achieved; in contrast to the Budgerigar Society, that nearly went bankrupt & couldn't hold a club show this year. Nice to see you featuring the Colour budgies which I think could well be the future of the Fancy & attract new members.
Im waiting for the part two and want to know how he does his breeding and his advice and experience in breeding them also the size of his breeding cages please 🙏🏼
