if you can force yourself out of your 8 seconds attention span qnd are willing to research game mechanics youre in for the most rewarding online shooting experience of your gaming career. Playing this is also a huge middle finger to the current state of the FPS genre and a sign of self respect. For those of you that value their time and expect more from their games, ill see you planetside ;)
its sad that in last 10 years the player base is slowly dropping the main problem is that its not really beginning friendly game there was once a map for new players but jt got removed now as a new player when you just start playing and you get killed by br 120 player with maxed out weapons and implants it feels unfair ant thats why many new players quite really quickly the game is great there is no other game where you can have 300+ players ant one base fighting with aircraft armored tanks and infantry and where every shot is a projectile and not a hit scan and still be able to run on older PCs with no problems
The update killed the servers. Emerald performs like shit, the frames show over 100 but plays like 50, server latency is up to 600ms, various parts of the game are broken. Devs aren't even acknowledging any of it. It's my favorite chaotic, has everything you could want shooter and they offed it up
Good video, but along with your good dialogue the visuals are just as important. Throw some gameplay in there even if its an uncut full session. Something needs to be there moving to maintain viewer retention. Thats just my observation though, keep it up!
Thank you dude! I think you're right :) I was experimenting with this style and I think next time more effort needs to be put in by placing the article on screen and adding some gameplay to talk over.
@@joti160 lol that sounds rough for sure. I'm kind of used to that respawn-die-repeat flow from the Battlefield games so it doesn't bug me too much. Unless people are spawn camping a Sunderer
@@ooplesoft Battlefield does counterplay infinitely better. If you spend just a little bit of time improving and learning you can easily break out of the respawn loop. PS2 devs constantly add new mechanics that give massive reward for no risk or mastery required, along with near 0 counterplay. Im glad youre enjoying it, I did for a long time. I just very much disagree on the title of your video as someone whos played actively for most of the games lifespan.
I did try this game out a while ago, and I remember the monetary system to be terrible, the frame rate on ps4 to also be terrible, and the game overall to be incredibly confusing but eh, I can try again
monetary system is fine, the starting guns are the actual meta in most cases. Its a true free to play. It is confusing and complex tho and you have to do your own research
I enjoy ps2 on console when I start but I glad it still running, even though I still a shame that console ps2 didn't get all fun stuff like pc do, I glad I have pc to do it with my bro that was also from console so we both are pretty good but very fun and crazy when we try take each other out, other hand I might plan on trying use pc control for ps2 since I still trying to figure it out lol hope ps2 get more better when next update comes in. P.s. if they did that be more chaotic then capture and hold points.
It's not about 4090, it's a CPU demanding game. Performance could be better. Stock pistols are garbage. Anti vehicle weapons are extremely weak. The rest is old but gold.
Damn, didn't know the game has never been better when hitreg is often garbage, shotguns are still rampant even with nerf, and spam is at an all time high.
I had a friend who never played FPS games, and she got into planetside 2. It was maybe a year or something before she played another FPS and she was shocked when she played Destiny 2... she didnt understand why you couldnt play in a large group of people with your friends like in planetside 2. Lol, she was shocked to realize that in the whole FPS genre there are almost no games that have the kind of freedom and ability to play with friends that planetside 2 has, despite being a decade old. Sometimes I explain planetside 2 to people as "battlefield, if it wasnt so damn small"
@@DeepStone-6 5 months late, but, Squads can have up to 12 people in them. However, it's technically more than that, because you can form platoons, which are made up of four squads - so 48 players co-ordinating attacks together. On top of that, there is a line of communication for different platoon leaders, so you can have multiple platoons making up the army on a continent for a specific side, working together to strategically take certain regions and gain map control. That is of course on top of people playing by themselves, or in smaller squads. One of the best experiences in the game is seeing a bunch of random players struggling to defend a particular region from an onslaught of enemies, sometimes in a three-way battle between all factions, and then you and your platoon use Galaxies (large aircraft that can carry a full squad) to fly over, drop in (like ODSTs from Halo) and save the region from being captured. You also get similar experiences with platoons forming armour columns, or everyone grabbing a fighter aircraft. You'll find most solo players see this getting ready to happen, so you often end up with armour columns with 20-30 tanks, or similar numbers of aircraft. It's truly a unique experience. You know the saying "Only in Battlefield"? Well, that feels redundant when you experience the "Only in Planetside" moments.
BTW planetside 2 just beat its own world record for the most amount of players on a single map in an MMO. They waited ten years for another game to come along and beat it, no one did, so they decided to beat their own record.
Planetside 2 literally ruined every other FPS game (or any other game really) for me... been playing for 3 years now and i can´t get enough. Thank you for your great work and keep it up.
Planetside 2 really is an incredible blend of competitive first person shooter action, and a unique open world MMO experience. Part of the issue is that good veteran players are able to shine in the same fights as newcomers. It's not the kind of FPS that gives you a fair fight, your team has to want it. Planeside 2 offers experiences like no other.
@@zeloth7 I don't really understand this argument. not every class should be as strong as the others, its a team based FPS game, supports shouldn't be able to easily duel a offensive focused class...
being a game where the developers were literally told to put stuff in that couldnt be balanced or would never sit perfect in the sandbox but to include it anyway , it does pretty well
DUDE I LOVE WARFRAME! I really liked playing it on my Switch and am now waiting for the cross progression patch to go through so I can transfer my character to PC :)
Yup! been playing this banger of a game since 2017 none stop. back when i was a noob i used to struggle to get like 20 kills in one hour. Now as a salty vet i get 20 kills in less than 2 mins lol. The nature of the game motivated me to get good. I am a Engineer main Vanu om emerald server💀 Vanvolker👀 the guy who taunts alot🤑💀🤣😂
Unfortunately on console it’s very neglected and in a very bad state that makes it impossible to play it on the eu server (150 max pop only during weekends) and very hard to switch to the us server because of latency
Is a fantastic game I tend to play in my free time, I find my enjoyment in finding the right Outfit for yourself and growing together as a team. Though do note, the servers you play on do have a peak time with high player counts and have low points as well. So if you find yourself disappointed about the state of a Map or the lack of optional fights available to you, do note that that can be affected by the time you choose to log into a server, so try to find the right one for you by asking people in-game (text channels(/new) or voice))
I just started playing a couple days ago. For the same reasons you said, it allows me to feel like I'm in my fantasies. But, it's very difficult for new players,.I.e I experienced unhelpful instructions in the tutorial, stuff was vague, and when riding a vehicle for the first time, the controls disappear so quickly that I didn't understand anything. Stuff like that
Suppose you could take yourself to the 'VR Training' world to practice trying out the Vehicles, Weapons, Appearances, etc without having to worry about ingame currency(Certs, Nanites). To get there you click 'M' and get access to the map, click the name of the area your in on the top(Hossin, Esimir, Indar, Amerish, Sanctuary) and click World Map. Then select VR Training down the bottom left to warp over
@@Hys-01 if you use discord or team speak ask other people from your faction or even enemy side for help (if they seem to play good) maybe they take the time and explain you in voice chat how to play different tank esf inf or whatever. Most of the people are super nice if you ask them in a friendly way
I can remember first playing this game... *orbital strike* I was younger and I like the tank battles, that's what got me into the game in the... *orbital strike* first place. I had a little pause as my older... *orbital strike* PC could not run the game anymore. I then... *orbital strike* got a gaming laptop that could run the game decently. *orbital strike with the opposing faction's rage strike* Now I have a decent desktop and I enjoy playing this game *double orbital strike* a lot, since I can be in bigger fights with more than 70 *oshur unlocked* .
