We deserve better than Overwatch 2. 

I strongly agree, I dont have the same passion for the game, I personally play it competitively, but i used to play it casually, but only swapped when it got painful to play for fun. I miss overwatch 1.0. I cant see this game staying alive for too long, and it deeply saddens me. despite blizzard basically trying to kill the game, it has survived, and prevailed. I just hope it doesnt become the next tf2, where people look back on it fondly, but will never really play it again. I love overwatch, i have 1200 hours in the game, but I dont enjoy it. I play for the rank, the sr increase or decrease, i play for honing my skills and mastering the craft on clicking heads, and i dont think anyone can really play for fun anymore, you cant get that feeling of rolling out of spawn with 6 roadhogs, and just spam hooking everyone on the other team, where the other team played a real comp and were playing legit, now we only have no limits, and everyone plays goofy there. This is something that needs to be talked about more, the game isnt fun, people only sink massive hours into the game if they play competitively, or stream, nothing else. and its sad, i wish I played because i had massive amounts of fun with friends, but my friends stopped having fun and playing when it got sweaty, but i stayed... the lonely kid, trying to have fun in this game... I have played alone for over a year, and only recently started adding other people, but only as comp duo's. my irl friends have returned, but will be leaving nearly instantly, i can feel it. they are gonna experience these fun new things, but overwatch has nothing to keep them playing as i have, so they will once again leave, and leave me empty. I will probably quit soon, move onto another game, despite having so many good memories, none of them are recent, all from 2018 or earlier. you make a good point, i agree fully. thanks for reading my little monologue. I miss overwatch 1.0 they should have reverted everything they did instead of making overwatch 2 clean slate maybe given it to another company, so they dont mismanage it. thats a bit extreme but i wish they made the game for the fun players, sweaty nerds second thats all see ya

I strongly agree. I remember playing since the first week of Overwatch 1. I remember when everything was free. I miss the early days. I honestly hate this Battle Pass thing, and with the current state of the worlds economy, I dont know where they think we are all super rich to afford these items for this game, but I am definitely not paying for a battlepass. Theres alot of bad decisions with this game I generally dislike, for example, I expected the story mode to be with us in the release but I havent found it and I dont think its a part of the game yet. Its jusg an unfinished mess. They shouldve just given us an improved version of the game with a free Overwatch 1 and better features like it used to be. Overwatch 2 was overhyped and unesscary.

Don't like the monetization but Overwatch 2 is a solid game if you look past that stuff. Personally i'll play it free tier until i'm bored of it.

It's unreasonable to expect a game company to constantly update and add new heros for a one time sale IMO.

The whole "its free to play" excuse for why everything is locked behind a pay wall now is such BS... Apex Legends, a game literally owned by EA. Probably the scummiest company out there when its comes to microtransactions. Has been Free to play since the start and uses the exact same system that OW1 had. You a get a free pack every 2 levels that gives you 3 none duplicate cosmetic items. Every 30 packs you're guaranteed 1 legendary cosmetic. The packs also give you crafting metals to buy any skin of your choosing. Just like how OW1 works. Apex legends literally gives you over 500 free packs now. That's 1500 unique cosmetics items. 50 of those are going to be legendary. And the game is free to play... Plus Apex lets you get the new characters for free day 1... No battle pass required. If EA can do it. So can Blizzard. Blizzard is only do this with OW2 becuase they literally feel like. They're trying to squeeze out as much money as they possibly can before Microsoft comes barreling through and fires all the higher ups...

I’ve noticed that games are all evolving into one thing. I miss days when games were more simplistic if you compare the new cod to the old ones I prefer the simplicity of the old games

Oh boy so much agree here with you buddy. I too played the beta back in the days of OW1 and even though i never loved playing these team based shooters, never played TF2 or anything like that, i fell in love with OW. Me and my friends who also never played such games sinked a shitload of hours into it. It was so much fun, the community was exceptionally awesome in the forst 1-2-3 month, and the best part about it, nobody was playing it as a tryhard and everyone had fun. Everyone could just pick whichever hero they wanted and everyone laughted his/her ass off by meme picks and meme teams and by seeing a play of the game of a dead torbjorn laying lifeless on the ground while his turret picked off 3-4 people. Then......the worst happend. Competitive game mode was added. And that's the point where OW started to go down the sinkhole rapidly. Tryhard hillbillies invaded the game. Toxicity stated to grow rapidly and Blizzard decided to start reworking heroes and the entire roaster balance along the very few competitive players whoalways cried about every hero which could kill them in their streams. And they destroyed every fun and beloved hero, and introduced more and more pointless heroes pleasing the CoD players. R.I.P Overwatch. IT was a good ride.

The new free to play version was never a good idea. While I enjoy overwatch, and I always will, they have just shot themselves in the foot with this one. Its a completely different vibe and does not appeal to the old players, new players sure, they'll probably be able to play without knowing what's going on. Its just a bit upsetting. When I heard of f2p I prepared for the worst. Thats not to say the games completely awful. Its the greedy side of blizzard that has ruined a cosmetic side, and now a competitive side of the game. What a shame

Having played over 3000h Overwatch I'm so glad there's finally some hooks and real updates. You can always buy $60 worth of currency and buy only the battle passes with hero in it? At least there's incentive to pay people for updating the game..

None of this would be a issue if they gave us in game currency to buy whatever we want. be it heros or skins at a reasonable time frame. Maybe 1 legendary skin a week or something. LIterally scamming people for money. I say scam because just wait till "overwatch2" gets the same treatment as overwatch 1. And never see a update for years.

I bought the battle pass because it’s a decent value for what you get, but the fact that Overwatch 2 gives you no way to earn items by grinding (except a measly 60 coins for doing a bunch of weekly challenges …) is a big turn-off for me. They don’t even include any in-game currency in the battle pass the way Fortnite does. Stingy, Blizzard … 🙄

I think the best way to fight the horrid approach to this game is by voting with your gameplay. Don't force yourself to play a game you don't *love*. I put my gameplay hours into Minecraft and Left 4 Dead 2, I don't love Overwatch or the sequel, so I'm not going to force myself to play it just to bolster its player count for Blizzard.

at this point i dont even wanna waste my energy being disappointed with blizzard...i will play the game when i get bored with apex but i think thats all, not gonna put any commitment to it like i did when overwatch 1 first came out. somehow this makes me nostalgic though

I am definitely trying not to let all the changes ruin my love for this game. It is hard. I've been playing ow since season 3, and I really wish they would have continued updating ow1 instead of what happened. Now, people are going to be more encouraged to one trick and not swap because they spend money for cosmetics for their heroes. Overwatch 2 is cool, it feels better to play, but it feels sort of like a shell of what could have been.

If they take heros out of the pay wall or extreme grinding and just have them free then I'd play it more, OW1 has a magic to it that OW2 accidentally ripped it out without knowing they did

Although I see your points, I think you should at least try the new game before talking badly about it. Ignore the battle pass, don’t buy anything, and at least try the game :) Yes, the game has gotten more competitive, but I think that it was inevitable that the game would start to be shifted towards balance for competitive players. But that doesn’t mean that the casual part of the game is entirely gone. Yes, you won’t feel the magic of 6 monkeys rampaging on a point in quick play, but you can still do that in no limits, or in the custkm gamemode “Clone Army”. There are so many fun things for a casual player to enjoy in the current game, ESPECIALLY with the introduction of the workshop. Again, I do see your points, but I feel like it’s disingenuous to call out a game for changing the way it works if you haven’t even played the darn thing in over half a decade. We will never get the golden era of Overwatch back, not because the game was better back then, but because the game was NEW back then. The novelty was what really made the experience of playing overwatch so magical. I would have never tried and enjoyed Fortnite if they kept the building, and I think the lack of building is healthier and more fun for the game. But diehard Fortnite OG’s will probably look back fondly of the days where to be baseline proficient at the game, you needed to know how to create a tower on command with high APMs, because they don’t like change, and loved the novelty of the mechanic. All-in-all, until you’ve at least tried the new OW2 through an even remotely unbiased lens, people will be uninclined to take your points seriously, even if some of them are valid. Criticizing something without having tried it leaves no room for someone to change your mind. And so complaining to others about changes to a game that you haven’t tried in years is like trying to complain to a brick wall. There is little effective feedback to be given and no room to discuss.

I think there is no future for this game, blizzard removed me from this game without proper 21: 9 support, then when I tried to give it a shot there were so long queme times that it wasn't worth my time anymore. I try to play as long as there are people, but when I have to wait 5 minutes + for the game, I will also quit.

The issue is that apex is made by dice and alot of people enjoy their titanfall series and knows that they can balance and maintain a game fairly for everyone, overwatch is made by a company who is now infamous for their recent titles and horrible managment, The fact its in the nasty septic covered hands of acti-vasectomy doesnt make it better they are litteraly known for making sequels a dlc with a number and leeching onto any pay model infamous or not.

One thing is, in apex legends the characters are not the core part of the gameplay as in overwatch sure it does help a little but it's more of a convinient kinda thing. more then the legend's your gunplay, gamesense, movement how mechanically skilled you are matters more then the legend themselves sure their abilities provide some kind of conviniency but that's all which itself sets it apart from this game I mean apex is a generic fps shooter game at its core which overwatch isn't n I'm new to overwatch I main apex n I agree with everything u said but comparing ow to apex rubbed me the wrong way I guess if you don't mind me typing that, other then that I do agree with you almost on every statement u made as I seen dat myself when I tried the game.plus I hate that u don't get your coins back through bp rewards. Overall a good content I'd say.

I thinks its so easy to sit back and hate, it's a free game that you can download and play, they need to make money somehow, playing a game for the first time is always gonna be different 6 years later, apex feels different than the first time you booted it up; if you're tired of overwatch that's fine but to make a video to hate on a product to fit the Trend or because you're "tired" of it isn't gonna get you more subs man, hating for no reason is all people do now its crazy, no game comes out with excitement anymore its only people hating on every game that ever comes out

You played a game that you havent touched for half a decade and you dont like the fact it is not the same game anymore and people actually follow the META to rank up. Those are your arguments? If you dont like it dont play it, all these RU-vidrs with less than 100 subs act like they need to express their opinion even tho most of you havent actively played the game and the mere fact you like Apex but dont allow Overwatch to adept some of its features makes you sound hypocritical which makes your whole argumentation invalid imo.
