Duck Commander was built on passion, pride and faith. It's uncommon to have an occupation that allows you to do what you truly love. The Duckmen do just that. We've come a long way since Phil jumped in his truck in the 70's and sold his duck calls "one at a time." Now Duck Commander is a brand that speaks to more than just the waterfowler. It represents a way of life; one of faith, family and the opportunity to live off the land.
We have a line of duck calls that go back to 1972 when Phil patented the first double reed system. We have both low-end and high-end calls as well as calls for several different species of ducks. We've recently introduced a single reed call and 2 triple reed calls to our line up.
Aside from duck calls, we have a DVD series that we started back in the 80's that contain some of the best hunting scenes from each season. We even have a few instructional DVD's and one cooking DVD. All DVDs are available for purchase through our website: www.duckcommander.com
I totally agree that making sounds that are not like a duck make no sense. I make sounds like a duck everywhere i go in life and it serves me very well.
New subscriber here. What is the ideal time to take a pup from its mother and littermates? I read Roger Wolters Water Dog many years ago and he said that the 49th day is the ideal time. Is this still valid. Thanks!
I'm a new friend from S.C. I loved this video! I bought some frog legs from the farmers market to cook and learned how from this video. Thank you for sharing.
In my area especially when they are super active the mallard hens throw long deep raspy cadence. It's almost like they are having a competition of who can get the raspyest. So I have always preference low toned raspy calls. But if you have just a couple floater geese and one person plays a goose flute it's game over. Mallards use geese as sentrys.
All the duck commander woodie calls i have purchased in years past have always required a lot of air. It also has never produced the same sounds as y’alls
Even with out ducks it beats the shovel handle, and sludg hammer. You got one of the best jobs I ever saw. if I wasn't on that retardation, and unability , I'd be filling out an appo myself.
Y'all ort ta know better than to cramp mr Phil's style. It fell on poor ol uncle Si to kill all the ducks . Them youngsters or gonna have to start helping the old man out .
I'm a duck dummy but I was wondering where the ducks y'all harvest nest . I'm from north west Florida,a little town called Wewahitchka . I hunted the Apalachicola river , the dead lakes , and the national forest. I never just hunted ducks , although I have friends who really get in to it. But what I seen was mostly wood ducks , and at a certain time of year while running trot lines you see momma ducks with a mess of baby ducks following her around, and she will run off acting like she's cripple trying to draw you away from her biddys . But I heard mr Phil say the ducks y'all are shooting come from Canada. Is that just Mallards ? Or dose all the ducks migrate. The reason I was wondering is as much as y'all love the sport is there any way of creating a nesting area where they will return to or is that something you see on the Disney channel?.
I sure miss seeing miss Kay in the kitchen. I do love watching you cook Phil, I'm sending love from indiana,,my wish has always been coming to west Monroe and meeting you and miss kay
