Join us as we cross the country in our 1986 Piper Malibu and enjoy the splendor of God's creation along the way. In addition to beautiful scenery and interesting destinations, I hope to highlight the benefits and flight characteristics of the PA46-310P Malibu as well as a recently installed Garmin G500 TXi panel. I have benefitted much from similar videos produced by others so I hope to offer something useful to you.
Great video! Saw your video as a recommendation from my friend Josh over at Aviation 101. I am also an aspiring young pilot and I haven’t soloed quite yet but this was a great video Katey! I have a small RU-vid channel Caleb’s Aviation with a series of all my flying lessons for my initial PPL and I hope you’ll check it out here and consider subscribing to my channel, I’d really appreciate it! The link if you’re interested is here: ru-vid.com/group/PLyAY3KQqnNkaNz7jXr3ZTUkelJJnb9tSU&si=TXMfxPp4Yi4tKt_F Also will you folks be headed to Oshkosh 2024this year? I hope to meet y’all if so what a great channel! Cheers 🥂 -Caleb’s Aviation
Just started watching your videos. I love the upgrade! Are you based in the PHX area? If you are and ever want someone to fly with, I’m a CFI/CFII and would love to tag along!
Your flying procedures and skills are fantastic. You only have high-quality, well-produced videos that tell a story. I had been watching our videos and started looking back to see the details of your plane. That lead me to this video on your panel upgrade. I certainly noticed how well done your panel was and was impressed with your knowledge of using the entire system. BTW what autopilot? You did a fantastic job outlining your upgrade and an admiral job of dancing around the issues without trashing those involved. I have been in similar situations with much more downtime than expected.
Great approach--I would have liked to have seen it without the FD as well, but I would have used it as well...lol. Beautiful aircraft, and incredible panel!
This was almost three and a half years ago. So, is she a private pilot now? I'd love to know how much she's been flying since this video. BTW, I loved her vacuum joke! 🤣
Hey there was all good under the hood with a magnum and I did not realize that I was going to be there until about five or six so I just wanted to let you know that I was there and I will see you at your house around five or six, I did not know if you were coming or not but I will be there at the house around five thirty or so to get you guys ready to leave the house and I will let you guys in the house when we get back from our trip and I wants good enough to go with you so know I don’t want no body in my house and I want you to get my city truck back now, and I will be taking my kids and leaving to and never want to see y’all again, and the 105,000 that each kid got, I pressed charges on, but I will never to god enough for a cop dad.
I thought she did fantastic, but if this is her first solo I thought you were not allowed to leave the pattern and you had to make 3 full stop landings and be signed off by your instructor . Then you could go out solo to practice your maneuvers etc. That’s how it was when I received mine.
She's an inspiration for young women and men everywhere - all people are capable of ANYTHING! Set your mind to a goal and do it! I'm impressed with her skills.
11:00pm I have really enjoyed your videos. And sorry about your mishap with 444DT. I trust God will make provision of things to come. The prop wash was awesome.
Rime ice is tinny little crystals, but I saw large frozen droplets on the PAX side windshield. and it seems like the boots were actually expanding [expansion zone pattern visible at 10:30], but not clearing. PS. what was OAT on takeoff? looked like a white knuckler clearing obstacles at the end. Does the 50/70 rule apply to Malibus? [70% of rotation speed by 50% of runway length]
On landing she's laser focused on the runway. I see this from a lot of pilots videos. You need to be looking around for that goof ball cutting in front or coming from an odd direction. Even at a controlled airport! Great job Katey!
