I am a proud owner of a single turbo 335i and a Ducati 999s, i make a lot of content on both, as well as just sharing my opinion on just about everything car and motorcycle related, if you like, list videos, tutorials, modifying or even if you just want to enjoy learning new things with me subscribe
I had the opportunity to speed up the car a lot in NFS 2 SE during my childhood and adolescence (1997~2003) listening to the beautiful soundtrack made by the late Saki Kaskas (RIP. September 24, 1971 - November 11, 2016).
yeah i had the 2litre version i drove that around london for abit . i wanted to get the v6 and thought about dropping in the 24v version out the 164. but eventually the car rotted away .my parents re from durban but i was born in london.
This looked already old fashioned by 1971. Also , I don't how this heavy chassis could had taken any advantage of the Ferrari V12 engine. I think that Enzo Ferrari would never let another brand have his engines. It seems to have been made more for impress people than any other reason.
The model T had a fuel vaporizer on it stock. Also the wright brothers used what amounted to a soup can dripping fuel across a cookie sheet that was heated by exhaust gas to vaporize the fuel. Food for thought.
Gm has dropped the ball on all yheir muscle cars and i highly doubt gm wanted a firebird that can out perform their camaro or vet they were like that. Sadly they got rid of Pontiac although they deserved it for making shit cars 2000 and on minus the firehawk forbirds but even then those were cheap and plastic but still good but the rest of their cars sucked after 2000. The 60s and 70s they kicked ass.
I think it's awesome 😅 Pontiac has always been my favourite American brand, and it's so sad that the company no longer exists. Never thought Ferrari would lend their engine our to an American muscle car, glad they did, cheers for another great video 👍
FISA and FIA destroy the sport every single year and more! Look now days only 2 manufacturers and half of ford! Those guys are real idiots and dangerous!
Your actually cracking the fuel into different hydrocarbons the same way they do in the refineries. There is a lot more to it then heating and vaporizing fuel. Look at your shell marathon miles per gallon. It's well over 2000 miles per gallon this year and has been for a long time
There was an article about when they sold pogues car and when it was torn down they found the engine to be junk from all the cracks in the block due to running it too lean. Look up pogues car being restored. Very interesting article.
Akula means shark, yes: And a Ruzzian submarine, that's where I had heard it earlier. So it sounded familiar, for a serious gearhead. And ret. sailor. That "nose, is not beautiful though, it replicates a shark's "nose". For a small niche car, it's nice, and deserves to be built. Thanks for a good video, as always.' Want to add a request: If possible, give us the numbers in SI units too, i.e, Kilos and Kilometers. from a Finn in Diaspora
It is expensive and underpowered, but 2600 lbs is awesome for comparison. A c6 zr1 weight 3400-3200lbs, which is still a light car, but this is honda civic weight. So I guess 600 hp ain't bad.
mate.. 1:35 it weights exactly 2623 lbs. so 800 lbs lighter then the corvette. Its even lighter then the Mclaren F1 and a full carbon monocoque is expensive. but the price is still pretty high, but thats something that most modern cars sadly have.
@Satori-Automotive Oh hey thanks man thats a really big mistake I made. Good catch 3600 to 2600 is big, makes more sense now thanks brother 👍 edited now.
Definitively not the last, there are going to be drivers cars in the future, just slightly rarer due to low-volume regulations (less than 1000 cars sold per year? Free pass) by the EU.
Absolutely loved this video so so much 😅 this is my favourite LeMan car of all time and definitely ushered in a totally new era of aerodynamic design, was so glad to see the underside of the car. Love driving this car in Gran Turismo ❤🤍 thanks for another great video! And I didn't know they made an identical road car😅😅
I remember when this first was announced. It was all a buzz in racing magazines. Definitely a game-changer. Although it would have greatly benefited the automotive performance industry. The real threat would have been to engine efficiency which would have impacted big oils bottom line. For anyone that has been paying attention when disruptive technology in automotive History (i e. The 100mpg carburator) there are those that will not allow disruptive technology to come to the masses. People that have invented these disruptive technologies have either disappeared quietly or have died mysteriously. Those that did sell out to big oil promptly had their patents shelved. For those that think all this is too crazy and conspiratorial, you need to read Confessions of an Economic Hitman. It more centers around how countries historically are coerced into falling in line one way or the other. If some foreign president isn't playing nice with some select corporation an elite representative is sent to meet with him with a suitcase full of money in one hand and a gun in the other. And that's how it's done.
