The 12000 RPM V12 Monster: Nilu 27
In the world of hypercars, where cutting-edge technology and electronic wizardry dominate, the Nilu hypercar is as a remarkable outlier, capturing the essence of raw, analog driving. Conceived by Sasha Selipanov, an automotive designer whose career includes stints at Bugatti, Lamborghini, and Koenigsegg, the Nilu is the debut offering of his newly established brand, Nilu27. This car is not just another hypercar; it’s a rebellion against the modern trend of digital intervention in driving.
The Nilu’s exterior is a feast for the eyes, with its low-slung body, tight cross-sections, and large curves that create a sense of speed even when the car is stationary. The gullwing doors add to its dramatic presence, while the insane exposed rear end gives the car the looks of a real racecar. The car’s design is not just about looks, though. Every element serves a purpose, from the aerodynamic bodywork that channels air efficiently around the car to the large openings that allow for optimal cooling of the engine and brakes.
Speaking of the engine, the Nilu is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine, developed in collaboration with Hartley Engines, a New Zealand-based company known for its expertise in high-performance powertrains. This naturally aspirated engine is a marvel of engineering, delivering over 1,000 horsepower, making the Nilu one of the most powerful naturally aspirated hypercars in the world. This massive V12 will have a redline reportedly set at around 12k RPM and Nilu is aiming to keep the weight to under 1.2 tons. But What sets it apart from many of its contemporaries is the decision to pair this beast of an engine with a seven-speed manual transmission. In a world where dual-clutch automatic transmissions have become the norm, the Nilu’s manual gearbox is a deliberate choice, aimed at providing the driver with an unfiltered, hands-on driving experience. And there really isn’t much in terms of competition for this car, the only other manual hypercars out there is the T.50, and koenigseggs one off Chimera.

Now that's something very special indeed. Such nice lines, so nice. But if we have to ask what it costs, then we most likely don't have close to enough money for one. But for those few I hope they take it out to the track or the road, it's something else. Cheers 👍💪✌

Absolutely love it 😅 great video again. I knew I had seen this before, in the hypercar class of full bodied racers. Love the analogue idea, modern cars have too much cr.p on them.

If, the if, didn't exist, I would be the first to buy one, no matter the colour(as long as it's black). Just the idea; to return to "old glory days"; me, the car and the road! No f*****g flippergames. Just hate those systems, "to assist the driver and make driving safer". What? It's proven, real drivers are faster on, for an example, gravel, without electronics. Ten points to NILU, for a car that returns to basics. Not everyone wants a videogame for car. Thanks Chris. from a Finn in Diaspora

Now, I'm not a candidate for buying a Nilo 27 or a Koeningsegg, but if I ever would, I would prioritize the fact that I can drive it on the streets. If you buy one for putting it in a garage or to only put in on the tracks... well, that's not me. I fear that the Nilo 27 wont be drivable on the streets, either from the law or from practicality..
