Ok Ian there is nothing better than a Titleist blade. I still play the Titleist 712 MB. Stop sounding so arrogant all the time. Love blades they will make every good golfer better and they are not as unforgiving as people think. Practice is king. Start pushing practice. No golf club will ever make anyone better. Practice will make you better. I'm so tired of this.
GENTLEMEN - I loved this video AND this validates my sincere belief that Ian needs a set of P7MC (I prefer the ‘20 head). It’s a little unbelievable how similar they play to the 7MB. And, I believe you’d get the right balance of playability. Maybe sprinkle in the P7CB 4 and 5 iron when they launch this season 🫱🏻🫲🏼 cheers
I've discovered these balls after they have been discontinued. As a high handicap, I have played Wilson 50 Elites at 25-30 a double dozen on sale, and previous gen Bridgestone Tour BX..... these balls Titleist balls are basically just as good as the tour balls. The 50 Elites, although I have been an advocate of them, compress too much for a 95-100 driver- something that I've proven to myself on the simulator (the only way to ever get higher smash factor than a 1.42 on the Trackman was to swing slower) Wonder what they'll replace this one with?
Hi guys! One question I keep asking myself is whether your fitters can acheive the same level of expertise as you do? I'm travelling soon from another province to get fitted by one of your fitters and I really wish they can analyse data as you guys do and suggest the best driver for me.
I'm a high spin player so the the PXG and Srixon appeal to me since they seem to knock it down a bit. Also what I like about the Zx7's in the bag. Very controlled for me and I don't get that floaty, stalled flight.
A true blade is a single piece of forged metal. Sorry Ping, PXG, and maybe Callaway, I'm sure your clubs are really nice, but if you have anything screwed into the clubhead, then in my book, they are not blades.
This video was an actual disappointment. I got the notification, and from the notification thumbnail, I thought ya'll actually played Pinehurts No. 2. What a let down.
Considering these kind of irons are bought for their beauty, I’m a bit disappointed that we didn’t really get any tasty photos, top line and back of the club on a split screen would be good, as you talk to each other and mull over your thoughts of each. Also, I don’t want to be that guy but, Wilson staff boys, you missed the prettiest of them all. Great vid as always tho 👍
Love my Callaway Apex Blades. I went a combo set. I only have the 9 and 10 iron in the MB. I should have went with the 8 in a MB, went w the CB. Problem solved😂. I just submitted a trade for my AW(Pro)and 8 irons(CB) for the Apex Pro MBs
Curious as to why the Tsr3 wasn't included as it still feels like one of the best if not the one to beat, has it fallen that far behind that's it not worthy of inclusion?
Had a wonderful full bag fitting at Club Champion (brisbane Australia) and got fit into a set of blades. For me a narrower sole suits and the set that won out were the Miura KM-700's.
A completely incorrect 'test'. As far as I know every par 3 (for example) is a distance. It is maybe 170yrds. Its is not a 6 iron hole. These tests should not be 6i vs 6i, they should be what stick is needed from each set to hit the green. So it might be the improvement 7i vs the blade 5i. That'd be a real and accurate test.
Everytime Ian hits blades he’s so much more accurate. I would love to see a test against cavity over a series of shots to see whether blades being more accurate score wise against the occasional miss hit. Whether pin proximity outweighs the loss of the odd shot from a miss strike. To me Ian should definitely play blades in the short irons
I am sure y'all have controlled for this, but are the Miura's a bit more upright than the other irons? I know their standard lie angles are different than other manufacturers, I wonder if that wouldn't contribute to more of a left ball flight?
What important in this isn’t what Ian likes best, because that’s subjective and he’s looking for a feel and flight profile that fits his swing. What’s important is seeing the deltas between the irons and applying that to what you might need/want. Keep in mind CC is editing out the mishits and just showing the keepers for the data (which I think is good to get good comparisons). Although Ian didn’t mention it, I’d be willing to hypothesize that the blades he struggled with have a different raw head weight than the rest. That’s the one variable that is likely inconsistent among the group.
