Love the talk of lateral dispersion vs vertical. It's what I've always seen between different shaft profiles, and if i need different vertical conditions, I need to tweak loft or head.

This is a great video. The way it’s explained the shaft profile is more left and right control than high or low is exactly what my experience has been. Played a tipped Diamana DF 70 S in driver for years, loved it. But recently struggled squaring clubface. Went for a retro fit and changed into Tensei 1k blue 60 x. The different profile just square the clubface easier for me and as a result I trusted it more and speed ramped up. So as a leftie, low launch DF tendency to stay out left. Tensei 1k blue mid launch soft push draw back to target line. Both launched within a degree of each other. Only difference was spin went up a little with the Tensei 1k in S flex hence the switch to X

Accra is best in class... I feel like they don't get enough love by gear heads, etc.

They just don't have the same distribution or OEM relationships, especially in the US. Good product though. I have their putter shaft in my LAB Mezz and it's excellent. Very stable without feeling harsh.

Need to get my hands on an Accra Account!! Love the element of the continuation through the woods - Interesting you saying about the continuation compared to the Velocore FW/HY - I fit and build a lot of Driver shafts in those!

Great timing, my wife was fitted at SGGT (Edinburgh) yesterday for driver and 3 wood. She was fitted into the Accra GX 100F M1 for her 3 wood, but for the driver into a Oban Isawa red 55A. Her dispersion (left/ right and from / back) with both were great (3 handicap). I guess it helps with a near 0.0 club path (I wish I could do that)!

Ian, would the GX 2.0 compare closer to the Ventus Blue? I get along well with the Ventus Blue and the VA Nemesys.

I play a stock Tensei AV Raw White X in my LTDx ls (SS 121). I would love to try aftermarket shafts to find my ideal match and see the performance difference. But can’t justify the cost… the Tensei feels good but seeing what’s different would be fun and interesting.

Speaking of graphics, GD has done a brilliant job with the Tour AD's. When they bring out a new shaft, you know it's a GD shaft even before you may have heard about it. I love the XC and HD graphics.

Shafts matter. I play TSR3 and upgraded to Graphite Design Tour IZ X-flex and hitting bombs. Stock was Hzrdous Black. Great video.

You mention the GX series being dy-matched. Does the RPG Gold have an equivalent dy-matched shaft in fairways or hybrids? I suspect it's not the same family, but do any of their other shafts coincidentally fit that description?

I was fit for a shaft in my driver...Accra was the best and my driving is much better with the Tour Z RPG shafts...straighter and longer.

I think Mikey needs to look back on the video. With the blue and green Mikey struggled to get his weight forward onto his lead leg, the inevitable result is the lead leg contact with the ground sheared off and his lead leg got propelled back and round by the force of him rotating. With the red shaft he found it much easier to get enough weight onto the lead leg to stabilise it - why the shafts should make a difference is beyond my competence but it was very noticeable. Pretty sure long term that will help Mikey neutralise his swing path a little

Love these vids. Gotta say for someone that hits a hell of a lot of golf balls, why doesn't someone tell Mikey to stop falling over behind him when he hits his driver. He would be hitting 300 easy with that power. Just falls off it.

@@JohnnyBoy4 thank you, it’s a grind staying on top of my game but it’s something I feel makes a difference when testing equipment. Mikey is working hard at getting his swing back on track over the next month or so.

Question? I was watching a popular Ohio club fitter, and he was talking about the Ventus line. He states when he CPM’d the red & black, the red came out stiffer, is this purely profile, or will it feel as such?

Please remember there are golfers that swing from the other side of the ball as well when you refer to left and right bias. Let's just stick with fade and draw bias. I know lefties are a small portion (but growing) of the golf market. We already suffer from fewer options so having nomenclature that is not unique to one side of the ball or the other would be greatly appreciated. Sensitive rant over. 😁

How does the GX series compare to the FX? Especially the lightest soft flex. I have the FX 140 M0 (got it after your video on it) and really like the kick I get with the softer flex, so I would be interested in trying the GX in the 140 M0. It would be interesting if you did a comparison of the 2, FX 140 M0 versus the GX 140 M0. The specs seem fairly close, so wonder how they differ. Thanks for a great channel

I bought the Gx 140 M0 , and it broke on the first swing, although i didn’t swung hard, 70% tops, literally first swing , broke on my back, have you had any trouble with the Fx going hard? I’m waiting for the replacement right now , wanted to know the opinion of someone who actually has used it.

@@diegopozo3675 would be interesting to see if some others have similar experience as yours, which would mean a design flaw or larger scale quality issue, or if it was more a one-off quality issue. I have had no trouble with my FX and really like it.

Find it a bit odd to talk about a bias towards right or left with a shaft. Right bias sounds to me like it’s too heavy or stiff for the player to square the face?

It's stiffness, balance point, and torque. In years of being a gearhead & various spreadsheets logging data, I've found that for me ~3.5 degrees torque is my sweet spot. 4+ torque & I hit it left like crazy. The really stout shafts with torque in the 2s, I hang it right. Do you own testing & you'll find your number. It's 100% player dependent. The flex label is largely useless/totally non-standard, even within one manufacturer. The designations are only useful when comparing the versions of one model and what most people feel as stiffness is really just weight.

Everyone I know that has gone to CC has come back with an Accra shaft somewhere in the bag. I’m sure it’s cause they’re great shafts and not cause CC gets the best kickback from them.

I went and got fit at my local CC and the Accra TZ6 is the one we landed on after maybe 7 other options, tighter dispersion was the big winner for me. Was able to custom finish it with a hickory graphic on it too looks pretty neat
