My name is Brent and I live in Minnesota. I am a computer technician, and I love video games. Most of the videos I post are just for fun. My most famous video is from Guitar Hero 3.
I played the song "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragonforce, on Guitar Hero III. I did it on expert, and I did it on PERFORMACE mode. That means that there are no notes. Yes, I memorized the song and yes, it is incredibly nerdy, but at least I noted that in my video. When I originally had it up, it had 180,000 in 3 weeks, and was the 22nd most watched video on RU-vid at the time (December 2007). I took it off of RU-vid however, because of the insane number of comments and inbox messages I was getting. But, due to popular request by my friends, I put the video back on. It currently only has a few thousand views and while I wish it still had the high number of views, I'm okay with it. I set out to prove a goal and I did it, despite the criticism..
I wish Saul would have just gone the blues route instead of playing for such a lame band. We all have our favorite guns and roses songs, but the band came around at the wrong time in my opinion with what they were trying to accomplish as far as “their sounds.” Too late for the 80s, too early for the 90s. Kind of a weird space. If he maybe pursued blues, we maybe would have never heard of him. But if he had maybe surfaced as a blues player, I think I’d be able to really enjoy his work. Guns and roses is way before my time, I’m only 29, so I think the masses who did enjoy his music in real time, have more of a connection to what they music was offering at the time it was releasing and the memories of that time. His work on the bands stuff and what he really enjoys playing (this) just seem so distant from each other. It’s unfortunate but still lucky footage like this exists 🤘🏻
Slash is the shit!!! Not really technical or flash but the perfect combination of both and plays from the heart and looks cool as hell while doing it!! Saw them and hung out with them at all four ritz shows '88&'91 NYC when i worked at MTV
Cameraman: Just set up good framing to include the stage and screen. Theres a giant screen on display, and we can zoom in and out our screens ourselves LOL
2 kind of blues players Blues own you or You own blues Many can play blues but they sound blues pentatonic which is okay no hate for those guys. But real blues player FOR ME is they can express themselves using blues.
Now here a guy that knows the entire bible of music theory. Keep practicing kids. And you too can play augmented diminished 11th 9th and 😮Blues pentatonic perfectly.
