The best blues I've ever heard slash play and I have seen absolutely every footage of slash there is. Damn this was sick, didn't even sound like him,he tapped into so old blues feels that night
I agree with both you can tell if you're an ultimate gnr, slash and guitar player yourself after 2 seconds it's Slash sounds, Slash's Pentatonic blues unique leaks that just maybe in the last 100 years you got 10 guys , blues guitar players that you would immediately recognize after 8bars.... HOWEVER HE WAS ON FUCKIN FIRE THAT NIGHT (THAT'S TRULY INSANE HOW THIS MAN IS STILL ALIVE, SOBER, AND STILL GOT THE FLAME 🔥❤ Love this guy so much.... Each section of this solo was like if he was speaking to me with plain English words BUT ⚡ WITH TONS OF EMOTIONS and RUSH OF A SPEEDBALL COKE+BROWNSTONE INJECTED DIRECTLY IN MY THROAT'S ARTERY 😮🎉. Who knows ?!?!maybe a gram of Coke from 91 Illusion tour cristalized into his cock🤣💉💉🩸 and somehow got released accidentally that night in his bloodstream?? as he was unleashing that insane solo and energy onto the pit and the rest of the band. Even Ferrer seemed to follow him with some accents and pokets fills in this discharge of classic power slash blues beautiful insanity 💥☠️ wish we could see close ups on Duff's reactions and face expressions or even Axl witnessing Slash being so much on fire 🔥!!! insane and historical GNR/Slash moment 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you Slash , Thank you so much❤ whoerver captured and upload this🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🎁🤩❤️ ! (And special thanks to his heart surgeons and Slash unreal genetics/survivor body ???🎩🎩☠️☠️☠️🧬 ❤❤💯 🐍 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
Slash is good. Sometimes I get the idea that people find him overrated because he is the guitarist of a big group. And because of looking so iconic with that hat. "You like Slash because he looks iconic." These things people say to me. But no I like his style more than most other guitarists out there.
💯 Slash started standing out to me when I watched that Gun's and Roses live in Japan '92 and seen him playing some solo stuff as a kid and was like wow he can play on his own and has his own style like Jimi did! Have followed him ever since and love all his solo/Myles stuff!
Slash is not underrated one bit. He is considered to be an amazing guitarist. Few can argue his technical ability isn't up to par. Well respected musician from peers and fans alike. He is given the credit he deserves in my opinion.
66 yo here. Been listening to rock music for 56 years and Slash is up there with the greats, Clapton included. Love watching this guy play. There are few so committed to the craft anymore.
Slash is amazing..seen him live around 10 years ago I was about 25 feet away…amazing Also he’s down to earth with no ego and humble which makes him even more awesome
Can we please give a shout out to the guitar here? Plays a blazing solo for seven minutes bending the strings all over the place and then jumps into one of the most recognizable and greatest guitar intros of all time perfectly in tune. Holy shit.
@@donotwantahandle1111 I'll have to disagree on that one. Sure, a whammy can knock it out of tune. But, I've played many of guitars without them that can't hold tune after bending the strings with heavy vibrato.
I'd take it a step further.. I'd state he's The Last Guitar Hero. Another era started where guitar solo's where out of mainstream fashion (as they absolutely were before) and remained that way till this day
@@ppvk2610 Joe Bonamassa: - "Hold my beer" Samantha Fish: - "No you hold mine" Kenny Wayne Shepherd: - 'Step aside" Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram: - 'Erhum (clears throat)" Tommy Emmanuel: - "Hand me my acoustic?"
I always knew he had strong blues roots. He is a savvy blues/rock guitar soloist backed by worn boot heals from the road. An Iconic rock guitarist up there with Eddie, Malcom, Angus, Randy, and any other dude who lika playa guitar 🎸
I saw G N R, back in the day, many people were saying he took 35 takes on Sweet Child of Mine, and shit. I saw him do a 20 minute (est) solo just like this and the crowd loved it. Slash is the real deal!!! He desires to own those Les Paul guitars, other peps would just waste them in the corner.
The reason I took up guitar. Started off on drums as a kid in 5th grade . I found gnr through my older cousin. I saw live shots of Slash running around the stage and killing it. Guitar player ever since I'm now 42 and still feel like that young fan when u first got the experience. Ty Slash !!!!!
Man, all the hating going on in the comments is taking a toll on my mental health. I was inspired by this guy. This solo is not his best work, but it’s not bad by any means. Slash is 👑 when he solos in the harmonic minor. Anastasia (specifically live in Sydney), is his best live solo, if you want to see him at his best go watch that. If you’re still not impressed by that then you dont want to like him or you’re expecting him to be like John Pettrucci or Paul Gilbert. He’s not overly technical or precise, but he’s a presence, and brings some serious shredding capacity to otherwise regular rock songs. Ill always love slash, and Ill openly admit he is not the most talented player. He’s unique though, and has more musical capacity than people give him credit for 🎩
to be honest,, the talent is in what he can project to the listeners.. and you do not become a household name (Good or bad) without having some kind of presence and talent. Its like I find Joe Bonamassa as boring as batshit to listen too.. but there is no doubt that guy has a gift when it comes to guitar playing. like so many others that we are all referencing..
I'd love to see Slash jam with the likes of Joanna Connor, Kingfish, John Bonamassa and other blues guitarists and maybe record a blues album with them. That would be freaking awesome and I would certainly buy that album.
I was never a big GnR fan and unfortunately Slash was guilty by association. But a saw him tear it up a few years ago and he can’t be denied. He’s 1000 times better without them. He’s the real deal a great musician 🎉😂😮🎉😮😂 gotta respect that.
To do a solo like slash that can go for like 20 min is great!! Try play a Les Paul that long whilst using 10guage strings and don’t forget, running up and down on stage with lights and the top hat that adds a extra weight even tho the les Paul is already like 10kgs extra 😂
Greyt ... one the best & beautiful & special ... Solo Guitar... Slash with Guns⚘💕Rosses ... Peace, Sante, Luck's, Beautiful, Happy Life evè from him, from all 😉⚘💕🌎⚘💕😎
