What attracted me to the Apple Card was the savings payback at 4.40 APY. I am not concerned if Goldman sells the program as my FICO is well over 800 with a zero delinquency history. I like the no interest rate and nor fee structure, but folks with poor credit history should pay late fees, etc. well, let’s see what happens. Besides, we pay the balance on the card promptly to avoid any interest charges. This program fits well with us. I hope they continue with the high yield savings account.
Sounds like got hurt by accepting too many people on the low end of credit worthiness. Didn’t they initially open it up without an effect on people’s credit, then they changed it? Either way, if people aren’t paying their bill, their credit score will really go down.
this was incredibly helpful. Thank you for the video. I think you just saved me from making a mistake and provided a better avenue to go down for a medical procedure I need.
I think the Amex business card cash back will not give you cash back on every purchase as they claim. They will not grant you cash back on gift cards and travelers checks.
I always pay as soon as the statement appears online and always pay whatever amount I need to I reach $1,000 in debt for that card each month. So, $1000 balance = zero for me.
I loved my Traditional Green Card pay-in full-requirement. To me, it was never about any "prestige" of having American Express, but about the discipline of having to pay it in full.
Mr Jusko: one thing to consider, most if not all airlines nowadays (except Southwest) charge for checked bags. An airline specific card will often get you at least one free checked bag. If one flys a lot, this could really add up. The General travel cards, although more flexible, will NOT get one a free checked bag.
Have to keep 25k in savings to earn 4.10% also need the checking account thats free with the 25k. This allows you to earn 4% with the credit card. I earn 4.83% with ufb direct savings.
Old card looks better. New blue would be ok if lettering was silver like the old one. White name letters and blue prime look lame compared to the old card.
I don’t know….. I’ve always wanted a Discover card. I have both a checking and savings account with them for a little over 2 years now and I still can’t get approved for even a secured card with them.
OVERSTATING YOUR INCOME ON A CC APP and you will possibly go to jail, hahahahahah, GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!!! never gonna happen! funniest thing I have ever heard of!
Clear as mud. It would have been more helpful to see a full statement with corresponding dates, or 2 statements side by side, identifying the closing date on the 2nd statement and showing that it applies to the first statement. Very confusing still.
are there any secured cards without transaction fees? I looked up Chime for example and they dont have a foreign transaction fee, but there also a handful of countries that dont accept Chime and my destination is one of them. Any others that anyone knows about?
Soooo, the self-employed, who many times employs the employed is a greater risk than the employed who receive their check from the self-employed!!! WHY? Because all the people making the decisions are employed and that's all they understand.
I have the Alaska card with the grandfathered companion pass for just holding the card, the Amex Delta Reserve (the refresh made it a keeper for me), and the Chase United Explorer card. I'm based out of LAX and have no real brand loyalty but I do prefer to fly these 3 airlines and I travel frequently enough that I take advantage of the companion passes that come with the Alaska Card and the Delta card. I also travel with united enough to where the lounge passes pay for the card plus my checked bags.
I tried to buy an iPhone from Apple with the 0% monthly payments but it now appears Apple forces consumers to pick att, Verizon , T-Mobile or boost at checkout to finance.
I like the AppleCard for purchases when I'm travelling outside of the USA. There's no international transaction fee and with ApplePay, there's 2% cash back. What I am hoping is that if Chase picks up AppleCard that they will change it to a Visa, so that it can be used at Costco. (Costco only accepts Visa)
I’m a new credit card user & I was low key nervous about having a negative $150 on my credit card because I be paying the full amount even when I missed two days of my closing due date but it was my first time missing my due date & closing date but not again this why I probably be over paying my credit bills 💳 😂
I have the Explorer card and within a few months I already used doubled the value of the annual fee. 2 lounge passes valued at $59 each, plus free checked bags on 3 flights in 2024 so far.
