Of course, his flat-fingered technique breaks the rules of orthodoxy; it’s not possible to reach full presto with any fingers flattened unless you’re Horowitz.

I think Chopin and Liszt would have admired the translucent sound of Horowitz’s playing; he didn’t need to pedal his way through the challenging sections; it takes incredible virtuosity to do this at presto tempi.

Just wonderful! An exceptional rendition of all the musical pieces Alexander Gavrylyuk played with such musical expression, emotion and superb technicality

Other than Chopin playing, Horowitz is the master.

Buon viaggio maestro. Aspettami vorrò conoscerti lassù dove la nuova vita ci attende.

I hear Beethoven HIMSELF playing through the mind and heart and fingers of Pogorelich ! We are so unaware of the spiritual world all around us that we dont see these great Artists like Beethoven being a part of our sentient lives even though we cannot SEE but we can INTUIT their/ his Presence. Beethoven is drawn into this performance of his greaT sonata himself actually on the spiritual level communicating his own creative vision of his work using the body and skill of Ivo Pogorelich.
