I just bought my first Lego engine today, a Maersk Engine, do all the engines run on the same track? Does Lego make extra long straight pieces. If purchase two of each of these packs would that be a good start?
I believe you need 4 of these for a complete loop. I have another video on my channel that shows different loops you can make with these track kits and I say how many you need and I have details in the description. Most engines fit this track. Anything from 2006 to now will fit this with the exception of the large hogwarts express. I hope this helps. Congrats on your first Lego Engine! That one is a fun set that I also have a video on
@@leggomyjameso6082 I bought track from Lego and they limited me to three of the packs of track. I just don’t get them sometimes. I bought two packs of switches (you can never have too many of them). They come with four curves each so I should have my loop. Can I use the current motor system in the Maersk or do I have to use Power Up. Only Chinese copies of these on EBay from what I can see. I can purchase a modern train and give the rest of the pieces to my children. Appreciate your response, love your videos, and I am going to look for your Maersk Train video.
I am looking for this set and sealed it looks like it is starting at the $500.00 mark (if the box is unopened and is not smashed. Wish I was collecting Lego when this came out. Would have bought two sets to run with two engines, one powered and one dummy. Would give me twice the number of cars to run behind it as well. Can the motor pull an extra engine and four cars or would that be too heavy? Wish Lego would make more American style engines steam/diesel with motors. Great video, enjoyed it a lot.
Thank you for the comment. I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I think one RC motor Can pull a second locomotive and 4 cars. If it’s in a circle then maybe not but it should be able to on a large oval or a square ish loop. Too many curves at once will limit it
I think automatic bidding is really just someone bidding high on something. For example, let’s say something is at $10 and I bid $20 on it. I’ll be winning it for $11. If you bid $15 for it then I will automatically out bid you and win it for $16. The way around this is by simply having a top dollar you’re willing to spend. You might say it’s worth $30 so you bid $30 at the last second. As long as the person who was winning before you bids less than $30 you will win it. As bids get more expensive the increment changes from let’s say $1 to $5
Hi, I'm new to lego trains, and don't have much pieces, I don't even have a full loop, what brings my question: how many curve pieces are needed in order to make a full loop? Thanks in advance 😊
16 curves for 1 full loop. Each switch needs 1 curve to make it straight again and then as many straights as you can get to increase your lengths. I hope this helps you. Enjoy building and have fun with the Lego trains:)
I won a auction within 5 seconds I won by 1 dollar it is pretty easy I bid 57 $ the bid before me was 56 $ I was excited it was the perfect amount I bid 5 seconds is not enough time for eBay to notify other bidders
Funny how lego said the orient express was too heavy to motorize but didn't say anything when their 42055 bucket wheel excavator wouldn't budge straight out the box freshly built
Great video if you are starting a bricklink store. But have had one for years. Used to use it heavily. Took couple years off though. Trying to start it back up and customers are saying that the payment will not go through. How do i get to update my paypal within my account when i am not starting fresh? Cant see where to click.
I’m sorry I can’t help you with this. I forget how I got mine to work. I believe talking to Bricklink support will help you. At least try to remove your payment options and start from scratch. I hope that helps
I wish that you could choose between 9 volt track and the newer hub, motor, and controller system, they both have their pros and cons so it would be neat to have the ability to get both!
I wish they still made 9V as well. It is nice that the trains fit on both the new and old track but the old trains would require a conversion to run them with the new RC power components
Cool video dude, definitely giving this one a like after I finish this comment. Couple of constructive critiques though. One, maybe check your mic’s audio when recording, sometimes it was hard to hear what you said, and sometimes it was too loud. And two, what you were talking about was a little offset from what was actually on screen, meaning that you were finishing talking about one thing while the next thing was already on screen. Other than that though, you did great. Good job. One quick thing though, if you’re trying to collect one of every official Lego train, then does that mean you will be collecting a variant or variants of the Hogwarts Express or perhaps the narrow gauge Lego City Gold Mine set 4204? Rockatoa, Brickticks out! P.S. If you want, I’ve currently got a pair of narrow gauge Lego Steam Locomotives available over on Rebrickable. RU-vid won’t let me post a link, but you can find them by searching “Brickticks Engine Works” over on Rebrickable.
That's clearly a helicopter windscreen. I mean, like 95% of all sets uses it for a heli, so how else to call it? :) Maybe 4-step angled windscreen 4x4x4 1/3 with cutout :)
Cool! Has Lego ever made a maintenance truck with rail wheels to go on the tracks? If not, I suppose we could make one. saw one on my local tracks this week and thought it was kinda neat.
They have I think with a train crossing set. I have some forklifts that have that feature and it’s fun to put them on the tracks. They are very cool in person too!
so i just went though a set, writing down the codes of every piece im missing in my phone, as per the instruction manual. but when i go to search for these parts in the bricklink list, they are listed as different codes. if i google search the long numbers i wrote down from the instructions, i am able to find a picture of the piece! so why is it different on bricklink?
Im not sure what the part numbers are in the manuals but each piece has a part number on it usually underneath and that is the part number on bricklink. Look up the set number on bricklink and you can see the part list. You can also create a wanted list for that set and it will give you a list of each piece. You can adjust the list for what you have and what you need to find. I hope this helps you
I find Brickognize is much easier when looking for a part. Take a picture of the part and it will show you possible matches with a link to the part on BrickLink
Looks nice and with the new containers from the 2022 freight train and the recent 2024 cargo ship i might be able to build a custom freight car for the small containers
When an item gets away, don't stress. Or if like me you spend a lot on ebay and at times you have to be stricked with yourself and not bid on anything but something cool as hell comes up. Just remember, there will always be another opportunity. Just thought I'd throw that out.
I've been working on my own motorisation "upgrade" it's really a complete redesign ending in a 2-8-8-4 wheel arrangement with 2 L motors, just need to finalise the Bricklink order for the extra parts and I can find out if I'm a genius or an idiot... probably an idiot, though I did think of a way around 2 motors powering a single drive shaft
If you motorise the locomotive you definitely need traction tires. And even with the tender motorised the driving wheels of the locomotive will turn easier with the traction tires.
