I was the Director of a clinic in DC. As I was getting ready for my 10 am shift, I saw the aftermath of the first plane. Driving into work, south on 295 in DC, I saw smoke rising over the treeline and thought people will lose their sh*@ over this now (thinking it was only a fire). Arriving into work, I learned it was the Pentagon. We were part of the emergency response system and had to remain open. Sent home the non-critical staff, but all injuries were cared for by local facilities. I literally did nothing and it still impacts me.

Years ago I had a cousin who lived in Amsterdam, sadly he died in the early 1990s. But we remained in contact with a few of his friends. I have always loved Amsterdam as a city, the Dutch people i find are very friendly and easygoing. KLM are my favourite airline, with Amsterdam Schiphol my favourite airport. I just find KLM really good value for money, and their customer service is superb. Amsterdam Schiphol is a very user-friendly airport but unfortunately it appears to be a victim of its own success with it becoming an incredibly busy place now.
